I was looking for a painter near me in Madison WI to paint the exterior siding of my home and a few interior walls that required drywall repairs. I had been putting these projects off for years but after noticing a few areas of wood rot, I was finally ready to hire someone. I scheduled estimates with some of the bigger painting companies in Madison like genesis painting, thrift painting, braun, and megna painters but didn't really "click" with any of the reps that came out. I had a gut feeling that I might be putting this large project off another year until I stumbled upon 3rd Gen Painting while searching through Madison painter reviews online. I'd never heard of 3rd Gen painting before but after reading their story online and seeing some of their stellar reviews, I filled out one of the price quote forms on their website (half-expecting to never get a response). Within minutes, Matt, the owner, emailed me to set up an estimate time. After playing phone tag with other painters the past few months, I was surprised at how easy it was to set up. Matt stopped by later that week. He was one of the most professional contractors I had ever met. He pointed out multiple areas of wood rot that other painters has missed and described the extensive prep process that his crews would perform. He seemed to really know his stuff! Matt emailed me a very detailed price quote for my project. His prices fell right in the middle of the quotes I had received so far (higher than thrift or braun painting but a bit lower than genesis & megna painting). I decided to finally pull the trigger with 3rd Gen and I could not be happier that I did. Working with Matt and his painting crews was hands-down the best experience I have had with any painting contractors in Madison to date. They showed up on time, finished early, and left my house cleaner that they had found it. The communication was excellent and I was very pleased with quality of the job. We most certainly would recommend 3rd Gen painting to anyone looking for a quality interior or exterior painters in Madison WI. Thank you again for the great work!
