I reached out 570 back in June, or early July, to complete a project. The project consisted of simply painting a small bedroom, hallway, and foyer, while also removing the vein pattern ceiling. I explain this to the dumb girl who came to give me the quote, and she quoted a reasonable price. So I went ahead and booked it.
Now, here we are, the week of the project, and I've had three men in my house, all saying they either cant do it, or they need to speak to whoever because it may cost more money to sand the veiny pattern off the ceiling.
This has to be one of the most unprofessional places I've ever dealt with. Why are we a day away from the project (it was supposed to start tomorrow, october 10th) and now im being told no one can do it? No one has come to color match the walls. Nothing. And I took time off from work to complete this project. Just a total waste of time.
I demanded a refund. Have yet to hear back. They have a horrible text message system to communicate with. Its freaking annoying actually not to be able to talk to actual human beings.
UPDATE
So I had to threaten legal action just to get my refund back. Multiple messages were sent and a refund wasn't processed until I threaten to get the law involved.
Also, im not sure if it was the owner, or another party who works there, but they literally tried to coherse me into taking my review down before giving me my refund back (screenshots are attached)
Since we are in the "freedom of speech" era, ill be blunt and use my free speech. You cant be an unprofessional dick, schedule a project, then dont even show up for the project and then, want to hold onto customers money.
There wasn't any alternate solutions such as "we can do the bedroom and hallway, but may have difficulty with the ceiling." Nothing. Just didn't call, and didn't show up.
Instead of trying to harass customers for taking down a review, thats very much deserved, do better and be more professional. This was unnecessary and totally uncalled for. Hold yourselves accountable.
Male sure you get a physical, written, typed contract, in case they pull this crap in the future with someone else, and they have to be taken to court. Make sure dates of when project will begin, and conclude are included and a thorough description of the work to be performed is provided.
