I hired Mr. Ramadin to paint one of the apartments in my building. He represented himself as a professional painter. He quoted me the price of $4300 to paint the entire apartment, I paid $2000 for the deposit and to purchase materials. When I checked in on the first day, I had to ask the painters that were there if they were going to remove the switch plates, which should had been one of the first things that a professional painter does. When I went in to see the completed job, the walls still had small holes and worst of all you could see the previous color underneath. Mr. Ramadin promised to come back and correct what I thought were glaring errors. He did little to correct the imperfect paint job.At our last meeting, Mr. Ramadin told me that he had put three coats of paint on the wall (since when does using a product that is a paint with primer constitute three coats). I guess that is painter speak for "I think you're an idiot! And you know nothing about painting." He refused to do the job and told me that he would keep the deposit and he would be doing no further work.
Learn from my mistake, DO NOT hire Narine Ramadin. In addition, to being a horrendous painter, he has horrible people skills.
