    Complete reconstruction
    300 days
    Awesome Work

I hired Gafur and his team to rebuild our house after Hurricane Sandy. The project consisted of 2 phases: interior and exterior. The first phase entailed rebuilding 3 stories and basement. The following was in the scope: complete electric, plumbing, and water rebuilt. They demolished the house to the beam. This was a complete guy renovation. It tool A&G around 7-8 months considering that we were stalling the project to choose tiles and paint. At times he had to repaint the rooms several times and re-tile as we werent happy with the initial options.

It was a true pleasure to have worked with Gafur and the team. The work they performed was very detailed. This was not your conventional HomeDepot paint job. The details took time and effort.

We are very pleased with the work performed specifically the communication process.

Its difficult and risky to trust contactors as you dont know what will happen after you release $50K initial deposit. There hasn't been one day where A&G missed.

Gafur went as far as taking me and my wife to stores and personally explained to us which option are better suited. He connected us to suppliers and mentored us through out the whole process of construction.

As you can understand construction is a very nerve wracking process and Gafur was very patient. In fact when my wife and I would bicker he would help us come to an agreement.

We are now well into 6month of living in the house and ready for phase2 of refacing the exterior.

Thank you Gafur and A&G for the great work and dedication and mostly for not leaving us behind!

You are an honest individual to work with and we are more then pleased to have found you.

Extremely unhappy with this contractor. After my house was hit by Sandy we hired him to completely gut and rebuild the first floor of the house. We now have crooked walls, uneven and slanted floors unfinished closets and doors that have fallen off the hinges. We told him not to reuse any wood that had been torn out because of the mold and had no problem buying any materials needed, only to find his worker digging in a pile of moldy wood to reuse where he thought we would not see it. We have had to redo some of the work he did ourselves. He also lied about how may years he has been in business and never told us he was going away for a month during our renovation. A project he told us would take 6 weeks took over 6 months. He told us he was going to send a crew of workers but only sent one guy who barely spoke English. I get sick to my stomach every time I look at the poor quality of work and the amount of money I spent.

Addendum: It has been 4 months since I posted this review. Apparently, a potential client saw it and told him about it.He is now calling my home harassing me regarding this review. He is claiming I put things in the review that are just not there, eg: that he does not have a licence. Nowhere in this review do I mention anything about a license. I find this all very unprofessional.

9/28/2016 Well I can't believe I am here again but I felt I had to update this review. We always noticed that the tile and grout around the toilet bowl turned brown very quickly, even after scrubbing it with bleach. Then we noticed that there was a small amount of water coming from the bottom of the toilet when my husband happened to be cleaning the grout for what seems like the millionth time in the past 4 years. We called another plumbing contractor to find out why it was leaking and we were appalled at what was discovered. The toilet had never been connected to the waste pipe and all this time everything we flushed went directly into the crawlspace under my house. Not only was the toilet not connected to the pipe but it was never secured to the floor!! Each time we used it it shifted a little more until it moved enough to allow the water to seep out onto the floor. It cost us thousands of dollars more to repair all of this since the original waste pipe was too short for the new ply wood and tiles that were added. The pipe had to be cut back and extended to accommodate the extra thickness, something that Gafur Abassov should have seen and done. Instead, he tried to stack several layers of wax sealer on top of each other to lengthen the pipe. We were wondering why for the past 4 years we had these tiny bugs called drain flies all around our bathroom and now we know that they came from the waste that was being flushed right under our house. This guys licence should be taken away and he should never be able to touch another persons house again. He is a lair and a thief.
