Harhold Richard Francis
Hired Richard to remodel pool! Replace pool equipment, fix pool deck cracking and re-texture, paint. Replace water line tile, replace coping, Extended prior door pads. Resurface inside of pool. We at entering the eighth month and he still is not finished. He uses subcontractors for all the major work. To save him money he does all the small job's himself. Sets all equipment (Pool heater) in place alone. Damaging items when placing. His cuts are not straight. Subcontractors washing out tools and backwashing in grass, killing it. Broken sprinklers. They leave lunch garbage in yard. He does not manage the subs when they work. He leaves and goes somewhere? He works one to three hours in a day when he shows up. The day they refinished the interior of pool; it down poured rain. Not good for the plaster. The quality of the work is horrendous. Ripples in front of spa, ripples and trowel marks all over shallow end. Ripples in the middle of pool. They were rushing and playing around while Richard left the job did not return until Monday. Pool was shot on Saturday. He tells us now there is nothing he can do ? Reason is it's hand sculpted; which was done incorrectly. Three weeks ago he asked for an advance on the final payment of $6,800. My wife and are were to gracious with him. Gave him $3,000. I have learned a valuable lesson from this. He's 64 not 21 anymore. Quality might have been there years ago? But not now! STAY CLEAR!!!
