A&B Home Repair built us a deck with stairs. Looks great! Well built, very sturdy. Bruce had our deck built quickly and is very professional. Highly recommend.

I hired A&B for finishing work in my kitchen - install mosaic tile backsplash and new kitchen doors. The project was only supposed to take a few days. Initially, Bruce was prompt and responsive. But after the title was installed, everything went downhill with the door installs.

Project started the first week of May, as of today (07/18), my closet door is still not installed. Bruce had to come back multiple times because the cut was wrong. When it was finally installed after 6 weeks, it broke after only a couple days and needed to be replaced. Bruce picked it up on 06/25 and hasn't returned with a new door yet. It's been more than 3 weeks. I don't find this timeline acceptable.

In addition to the door issues, the tile install was sloppy. I will include pics so you can judge for yourself.

I am leaving this review because I personally count on reading reviews when making purchase decisions. A&B had great reviews on this website. I am very surprised. Hopefully my review helps the next person.

Bruce built a new front step out of composite wood and installed a vinyl railing for the step. He completed it in one day. We asked him to come back to make some changes and he did just a few days later. Very happy!

I met Bruce thru a family member and had him come over to
give us an estimate on a bathroom project we wanted to have
done he gave us a fair and honest estimate. Once we hired them they were here every day on time. Bruce was very knowledgeable and was very helpful with our design and gave us many suggestions and advised us type and material amounts. Finished project on time and budget I will definitely hire him for my next project.

Bruce is very professional and a nice guy. He answers calls and emails promptly. He began the work the day he said he would and aside from one day with an emergency at another property, he worked every day until it was finished. We hired him to reset the paver stones on a 20'x40' patio and rebuild the paver stone stairs that had partially sunk. Bruce removed the base down 6-8 inches and filled with crusher run stone which should have been used when the patio was first built. We plan to have Bruce build a new front step and do some interior remodeling.

I have worked with Bruce and A&B Home Repair for many projects over the 10 years I have owned my house. In fact, Bruce has done every home project I have taken on. His work is very detailed and he can handle many different types of requests. For me he has done everything from ripping down bathrooms to the studs and recreating to installing and finishing woodwork throughout my house. His work has always been very professional and of great quality. His pricing I have found is also very reasonable as well. Bruce was a pleasure to work with and he really wants to get the job done the way his clients envision. I would recommend A&B home repair to anyone I know.

I felt that Bruce was highly responsive, both when reaching out to him for the original project and also regarding communication during the actual project. He got my job (multiple new doors, doorways, and mirrored closet doors) done very quickly and with a high level of quality. I didn't really need to get that involved with the project. I showed him an example of a door in my house I liked, and he ran with the project. Other contractors I've dealt with needed to be micromanaged but I honestly don't have time for that. I was also quite pleased with the pricing. Smart on A&B's part, because I will definitely be coming back to A&B for more work.

In summary, Bruce is highly skilled, a pleasure to deal with, and does quality work for a price closer to what you might expect to pay a freelance handyman. Very happy and like I said I'll be back for more work.
