These people take advantage of people that are in a vulnerable position do let that be you.
My last encounter was an illegal lockout. Technically my lease should end tomorrow but I was locked out and denied a final walkthrough of the apartment 10 days ago, so that they could lie make a list of false claims and keep my security deposit. I have seen how they do business and I would recommend to anyone to stay away from them.
They probably do this to many other people. He knew I was a student and took advantage of the fact that he knew I would have to move away to continue my education and that it would be hard for me to seek legal action against me.
They have had 4 tenants since 2011. He first denied my deposit at first saying "he needs 14 days to find damage". He said that past tenants put concrete in the toilet and another put dead rats in the duct work. I can understand their motives. To my disappointment I did no such thing and they just kept my money instead and denied me the access to the apartment 2 weeks before my lease was up so that I could not take any pictures.
