Mr. Lucas was contracted to do some remodelling work on our house. At first he seemed like a good qualified contractor. After he started working on our house it became obvious he was not. I have pictures to prove his work unsatisfactory and the bill from another contractor fixing his work to back my complaint.

Permits
- Building permit records show that A&R Builders has worked on 16 permitted projects.
A&R Builders constructed an addition (entryway, attached garage, office) for my home. Overall, the work was satisfactory, but I had ceramic tile floor laid in entryway, kitchen and bathroom as a separate job, and the grout immediately began to come out between tiles. As time has gone on, the tile is cracking badly and I am advised by reputable contractors that it was improperly laid -- no proper subfloor or leveling, tile glued down with globs of glue rather than cemented in place. When asked to make this right with me, Mr. Lucas initially offered to remove it or compensate me $800, but he withdrew this offer and I am left dealing with total cost of reflooring. Given this failure to stand by his work and make the flooring situation right, I cannot recommend him for any work involving flooring.
