A.W. Puma Restoration & Remodeling

We hired AW PUMA for a major renovation project, and it turned out to be one of the worst decisions we've ever made. What was promised to be a 6-month project was barely 10% complete after a full year. Mr. Puma consistently delayed every phase of the work and took full advantage of our patience and trust.

He repeatedly demanded full payments for incomplete work and became hostile when questioned—threatening to halt the project entirely. Neither Mr. Puma nor his so-called project manager, Mr. Leo, were ever present or accountable on-site.

Throughout the process, we observed numerous violations and questionable practices that border on fraudulent. This appears to be a pattern of behavior with other clients as well. In the end, he abandoned our home in a damaged and unsafe condition, with no concern for even the most basic protections. We were left to deal with costly repairs and cleanup after terminating his contract.

Avoid AW PUMA at all costs. This company is unprofessional, unethical, and utterly unreliable ,on top of everything FRADULENT.

We hired AW Puma over four years ago to complete a home remodel, and what should have been an exciting project has turned into an absolute nightmare. The project has stalled multiple times for months at a time, with little to no communication from the contractor. When we do manage to get in touch, we are met with empty promises and excuses, but no real progress.

This project is now three years overdue, and because of AW Puma's delays and lack of follow-through, we still cannot obtain an occupancy permit. Despite repeated attempts to get a clear timeline or a firm commitment to completion, we have been strung along for years, leaving us in an unbearable situation.

The most devastating part is that due to these delays, we have been homeless for two years, pouring everything we have into keeping this project afloat, waiting for a home that should have been finished long ago. The lack of responsibility, professionalism, and communication has caused extreme financial and emotional distress.

If you are considering hiring AW Puma, I strongly urge you to think twice. No homeowner should have to go through this level of frustration and hardship.

AW Puma remodeled our family bathroom and we are extremely pleased with the outcome! Some of the pros with working with Albert is how honest and personable he is. We really enjoyed inviting him into our home. His right hand man Leo is fantastic! Both Albert and Leo listened to every one of our requests and always made sure we were 100% satisfied. On the flip side, the job took longer than expected, some of that we are to blame for, and communication seemed a little sparse at times. We felt like we had to ask when people were coming out and sometimes we didn’t get much notice. There was also an issue with the plumbers he subbed, but Albert handled the situation promptly and made things right. So all in all we are very happy with our experience with AW Puma, would recommend working with them to whomever, and plan to work with them for future renovations in our home!

After considering the sparkling recommendation by our neighbor who had recently worked with A.W. Puma Construction for a basement remodeling job, we decided to contact the team to know if they could help us with our kitchen remodel project. The team patiently listened to our concept and created a design plan that matched our vision impeccably. Also, we were running a little tight on budget, yet the team was able to give us what we needed without surpassing our set cost plan. Recommended!

We contracted AW Puma for a complete kitchen and living room remodel. We bought our home last year and it was quite dated (1970) with very closed off rooms. We had a vision to create more of an open concept and update the majority of our first floor. This remodel was a little more complicated since we also wanted to remove a couple walls and a closet, which presented its own issues that required several recessed beams. AW Puma took care of everything from demolition to engineering, flooring, cabinets, electrical, plumbing, etc.

Overall, we were very happy with the final product. Albert communicated regularly throughout the process and we were typically on the same page. When any issues or problems arose, Albert took care of them quickly and appropriately. I would recommend AW Puma to anyone who is looking for any sort of remodel.

Albert was very responsive and helpful. He always got back to me right away and was available to talk or meet whenever we were available.

I hired Albert to completely renovate/restore my single family home in West Roxbury. Three complete levels with change of floor plan and creating an open floor plan. Many custom items and additions. Project spanned over 18 months. Communication and attention were perfect and above expectations. His team and crew are responsible and reliable. Will have him do many future projects without a doubt and cannot thank him enough.

It was a pleasure working with Albert and his crew, from the Plumber to the Painter, everyone very polite, and addressed my project needs. Albert was great to work with and was very timely. His team is very hardworking and was provided great customer service. When we pointed out a small issue after the job, Albert came right over and made sure the adjustment was made to our liking. I would highly recommend him for project.

This was our first remodel where we replaced everything in our bathroom in our main living space within our condo. We brought four contractors out for bids and found Albert's price to be amongst the most competitive but what we liked was that he was well organized and quick to respond both leading up to signing his proposal but also throughout the project. We are pleased with the finished product and have received many compliments on the bathroom. We would definitely consider hiring Albert again if/when we remodel our other bathroom.

Albert and his crew were a pleasure to work with and worked within our budget with zero issues. I needed a complete overhaul of my bathroom while I was overseas and Albert did nothing but impress. I am an OCD, over-meticulous man and like things done a certain way. I have NO complaints when it comes to his and his crew's professionalism and attention to detail. Give Albert a shot. They were on site for two days to replace three windows with new Anderson windows. The two carpenters were very professional. Albert stopped by on two occasions two oversee the work. Everything looks great, and the work truly exceeded my expectations. Thank you.
