Hired Steve Frisk in 2014 to make repairs to my relative's house. He swindled thousands of dollars from my relative - convincing she needed more work done. Though he was paid in full, he did not complete the contract, and the work he did do was grievously in violation of the code. All the work needed to be redone. Unfortunately, he was insured only for $12K, and the cost of redoing the work was twice this. I believe he is no longer licensed. AVOID STEVE FRISK AT ALL COST. DO NOT HIRE.

The owner of A to Z Roofing & Handyman, Steve Frisk, is unprofessional, has poor communication, is extremely negative, and awful to work with. I hired him for a simple repair consultation 5/1/2023. I gave ample information over the phone about the repairs we needed a quote for, including how I intended to pay by card and that my home inspector had recommended Steve. The repair quotes I needed were based on findings in the home inspection. I offered to email the home inspection to Steve multiple times, each time he insisted he could provide me a repair quote with the home inspection report. The day of the consultation Steve told me the home inspection report wasn't good enough and he would have to charge me extra to go under the home. He also spent at least half the time talking at me about how bad the home inspection report was and that he could do better. Then he tried to get me to hire him (Steve) for a second home inspection. It was a very odd and unhelpful experience. It unfortunately gets worse. At the end of the consultation Steve informs me that he doesn't accept card payment and only accepts cash or check. We had specifically discussed on the phone how I intended to pay by card and he didn't say anything about checks. I mailed him a check when I got home that night. A week later I get a text from Steve asking when I sent the check. I confirmed the date and the address I mailed it to. Another week goes by and he texts me again asking when I sent the check. I had a missed call from him as well, but I was in a meeting so I texted him and let him know if he didn't receive the check soon to please let me know so I could work with my bank to void the first check and send out another one. An hour later I get a nasty voicemail from Steve cussing me out because he hadn't received the check yet. I don't know if he forgot everything we had talked about or what. I will not be recommending Steve or his company to anyone in the future.
