Absolutely love the job they did with my driveway. Company came on time and ripped and replaced my driveway and even gave me a great price on seal coating . I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to replace their driveway and seal coating it .

By Eileen D.July 19, 2023Cement step and clear grass from front pavers$3,000
I paid this contractor $3000 for one concrete step and to clear my front pavers of grass. He took my money and NEVER finished the job. Excuse after excuse. I am now reporting him to the Bureau of Consumer Protection and to the Attorney general. He took this senior disabled money. I got scammed and my property got ruined. Plants broken, cement on the front lawn and broken cement throughout my garden! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I have pictures if you want them!!

By Jan H.February 16, 2023Patio
I hired A-1 Asphalt & Concrete Services, LLC to make a
new concrete patio. Mr. Pete Laz (the owner of the company) told me it
would take a couple of days to remove the old concrete and prepare the
site to lay a new concrete. When he removed the old concrete I give him
60% deposit of the total cost. He came over a week later and told me
that he has to remove more soil and put more stones, resulting in an
increase in his fee. Meaning a bigger cost for me. I agreed with his
suggestion. He told me ,that he will come back next day to finish the
job but he didn,t show up, again . After two weeks I called him multiple
times, but no answer. I was very upset for his lack of responsibility and
reliability.
I waited some more time, and finally I called his office and told them he
is fired, has to take his equipment and that I don't want to see him any
more on my property. Not a good and reliable company to do the job.
They left a big mess on my property, destroyed my yard and the
driveway. -
By TomJanuary 30, 2023excavation of driveway$3,000
Pete was eager to work, I hired him on Saturday he was on site working Sunday and finished the initial excavation work on Monday. Pete worked well with my Township Roadmaster to ensure that this job was approved and met their requirements. We will be blacktopping in Spring and didn't want any issues with the Township. Pete did what he said he would, and we are happy with his work so far, I would recommend hiring Pete.

Not a good company. The wrist paving job, my drive way ponds and not level. The concrete work was ok but messy, concrete all over the place.
Looks like the three stooges did the work.

I hired A1 Asphalt and Concrete Services, which I later found out is also called On Site Construction, LLC (run by the same people), to pour a concrete trash pad, stairs, and a sidewalk at my home. Pete, the owner and my main point of contact, initially quoted me $7,500 for the project. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of paying everything up front, which I now deeply regret.
Before the work started, I repeatedly asked Pete if it was too cold to pour concrete, but he assured me they were “professionals” and would use accelerants to ensure proper curing. However, on the day of the pour, while his team was actively working, Pete called to tell me the cost of the accelerants was more than expected and the price had increased by $2,950—raising the total to $10,450. Had I known this earlier, I would have waited until spring to start the project. After some back and forth, Pete agreed to honor the original $7,500 price, but the experience was incredibly unprofessional and left me with serious doubts about their integrity.
The issues didn’t stop there:
1. The trash pad I paid for was never poured, despite it being part of the agreement.
2. The garage stairs are not aligned with the door, which is something I would expect a professional concrete company to get right. This lack of attention to detail is unacceptable.
3. Their team poured the concrete too high on the sidewalk, preventing me from reinstalling two gates on my fence. Instead of properly digging to the correct depth, they poured the concrete directly on top of the ground. Now, the gates can’t close. Multiple fencing companies told me that fixing this requires either redoing the concrete or raising the gates, which would look terrible and wouldn’t match the rest of my fence.
To add insult to injury, their team left an unacceptable mess. There is concrete splattered on my fence, windows, and garage door, despite Pete’s promise that everything would be power washed and cleaned. They never came back to clean up as promised, and now I’m left to deal with the aftermath.
This project started on November 30, 2024, and I’m still dealing with these unresolved issues. After researching more, I’ve found other reviews warning about these two companies. Please learn from my mistake: do not hire A1 Asphalt and Concrete Services or On Site Construction, LLC. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and a complete headache. Save your time and money. It’s simply not worth the stress.
