In December 2020 AAA replaced my roof, siding and gutters due to storm damage in Geneva, IL. My insurance company paid for the majority of the project and AAA agreed to waive my deductible, so there was no cost to me. Fast forward 3 years later, I have had water damage, mold issues and drywall damage in 3 areas. I hired a professional home inspector to review and he confirmed that the ridge vent on one dormer was not properly installed, incorrect shingles were installed on another ridge vent, the vinyl siding was not properly installed or flashed underneath my second floor balcony and a section of gutter and associated downspout was not the proper size to manage the water flow from that section of roof. I contacted AAA and spoke with Daniel, who asked me to e-mail my original paperwork, which I did. After several follow-up calls, I was told that my warranty expired (which it hadn’t because it states in the contract that it is for 5 years) and that because I did not pay the deductible (which they waived and initialed) they would not perform the repairs. I contacted the owner, Mr. Mun who barely spoke English, but he referred me back to Daniel. After months of back and forth, I had to get the repairs done by another roofing company, at my own expense, to prevent further damage and prepare my house for interior painting. I retained an attorney who sent a demand letter, but after weeks passed we received no response. I will need to file suit in court but have my doubts that I will ever receive payment from them. They have changed their address and name from AAA General Contractors Inc. to AAA Roofing Contractors, but it’s the same owner, Mr. Chong Hon Mun and manager, Mr. Michael Chung that I worked with back in 2020.
