Aaron Hammer Construction LLC
Good afternoon
I have tried to follow through on how to delete hateful reviews on this page & it does not allow me to axcess what it explains it will.
I have worked hard for 29 years and had a customer chew me out over reviews on your page. I lost a great amount of jobs due to this. These reviews are 100% false. I have always completed every job. We know it's hard to please every customer & it's not fear they bash us to no end.
Please update me on how to take care of this.
Thank you Aaron.

No one should ever work with Aaron Hammer if you want your work to be done correctly or on time. He started a project for my parents in July (over 2 months after he was paid) to build a small pavilion on their back porch, and he incorrectly did the rafters, headers, posts, and pretty much every aspect of the building (per the Barberton Building Department). He refused to work with them and refused to redo the work, and eventually refused to return calls, telling them, "Take me to court."
He is an awful businessman and a worse person. Don't hire him.

This contractor was hired to build a 3 car pole building, run and hook up electric and pour cement inside the garage and a 15 ft by 30ft cement parking area in front of garage. He was so slow it took over 3 months to build the building. he never finished the electrical work and he never poured any of the cement. Now he has disappeared with my money and has not finished the job. whatever you do do not hire this contractor. he lies then charged me an additional $2500.00 for work then he took off with my money and refuses to answer any calls. What a scammer.....

We would never hire Aaron Hammer again, we should have heeded the advice from the other Google reviews and the reviews on the BBB website( he did a good job on our one of our neighbors’ detached garage, so we hired him based on that project). He was a subcontractor on our addition and was contracted to build and do the exterior finishing of our addition (the excavation and foundation and concrete were done by other contractors, both of whom did excellent work). He completed the basic structure and then stopped working without any explanation other than enigmatic text messages. He left our addition without a roof and open on one end where he was supposed to install a sliding glass door and window ( he installed four other windows so I know he’s capable, I can’t figure out why he stopped where he did). He left us scrambling to find other contractors to complete the project (it’s not fun watching rain pour through both floors of your addition because your contractor stopped showing up). We thought it was very strange that he left his work trailer on our property for 3 1/2 months after he stopped working, he finally removed it after we gave him an ultimatum that we would have it towed and impounded.
While getting estimates from other contractors to complete the project, many flaws in Aaron Hammer’s work have been brought to our attention and will have to be corrected,(the Contractor we hired is finding even more flaws as he is working, one example was overlapping roof sheeting that had to be repaired by our roofing contractor before he could complete the roof.
He didn’t follow our Architectural Plans.
He didn’t frame the build for an entrance to the upper floor from the existing structure.
He claimed he was the best at communicating with his customers but was terrible with communicating with us.
He built the addition narrower than the existing structure instead of following the same line which is going to create unnecessary corners when we side it.The Contractor that framed the opening from the existing structure discovered that Aaron Hammer didn’t glue the subfloor of the second floor to the floor joists and used smooth nails instead of ringed to nail it down, now we’re going to have to try and squeeze some glue in between the floor joists and the bottom of the subfloor and screw it down, he told us he would glue it down but lied.
We’ve found many seams in the exterior wall sheeting that aren’t nailed to the studs, apparently he and his crew were to lazy or ignorant to make sure to put studs at all the seams.
When his crew was building the framing for our garage door opening I specifically pointed out that our Architect called for the end supports to consist of 4 jacks and 2 kings and asked if they were framing it that way, they told me they were, they built with only 2 jacks and 2 kings, they lied to my face and didn’t follow the plan.
We see light shining through the corners of the garage walls as if the sheeting wasn’t nailed down properly (it’s hidden under the tyvek wrap).
He left the exterior surface under the sill plates around the headers uneven with the exterior wall sheeting and hid it under the tyvek wrap (like we wouldn’t notice it when the siding is installed, c’mon man !).
Thanks to Aaron Hammer leaving our addition without a roof all the seams of the sub floor are swelled because of all the water that drained through them when it rained. I get to grind the swelled joints down, yay, what fun !
The building inspector failed the roof framing because it is lacking rafter ties, just another part of the construction that was left unfinished.
Just discovered the problem with one of the windows Aaron Hammer or one of his crew installed, the spring is pushing down when you try to open the window, the Frame was installed upside down! Nice job! Now I have to re-do that, lovely!
