75 South St. I got my single family projected started with Aaron. He seemed like a nice guy at first. I have two young children and he has children and we hired him to help fix up our family's first and hopefully forever home. He spoke well about his ideas for the project to accommodate our family's wants and needs. Seemed like he had a strong vision and the experience to pull it off and his estimates were right in our price range. Things took a turn about three weeks into construction when his crew said the lumber supply shortage was shutting them down for a week. Understandable at the time so we didn't think much of it. Then we didn't hear from Aaron for two weeks. We reached out to him several times and didn't hear from him until while running errands around town we saw his trucks at another site. It turns out they had materials but were so far behind on a different job Aaron had pulled all his guys to play catch up. After another two weeks (now five weeks since he was last at our house) his crew returned but they were so far behind on other projects they rushed through everything. I don't know much about construction but when I reached out to friends and family about what I was seeing, they were appalled. When I said eventually I would buy out what he'd already spent on materials and find a new contractor he threatened to sue me and got very aggressive verbally and tried to intimidate me. My father in law is a retired lawyer and he wrote a stern note threatening to counter sue on piece of his old stationary with the law firm's letter head and Aaron backed off immediately. I paid him out for the materials and hired a new team and we are satisfied. But this was an awful experience with what seemed like a normal guy but turned out to be a real creep. Watch out if you are thinking about hiring, strongly recommend you steer clear.

I would not recommend using Aaron Simque Homes. We purchased a new home and have been fighting to have the original punch list completed for nearly a year, and counting. If I myself don’t reach out trying to get something done, it’s complete radio silence. When I do get a response it’s usually after weeks of no response and a lot of times it’s pushback or being blown off. Many times our interactions are Aaron being downright rude. My experience (and that of other reviewers and customers) illustrate a disturbing lack of customer service, a repetitive lack of follow through, and serious quality issues.
Of the times I have been able to get something done, it’s typically a full working day to finish a couple tasks. I’ve worked around any time I could possibly get someone out and have taken off WEEKS of vacation time at this point. The one time I had a scheduling conflict I was told by Aaron that it would be easier if I could just unlock the door and let his guys work, but since I don’t trust his guys being there without me watching over them the whole time, he could only do as good as he could to schedule around me. Bear in mind this was over six months after moving in. Had this been before we moved in or before we had anything of value in the house that would be one thing, but that’s it’s an outrageous thing to just expect someone to be ok giving workers they’ve never met free range of a house.
Many details were overlooked during the building process. There were many things that were done incorrectly or to a subpar quality standard that ended up having to be fixed or redone. When I brought up my original list of concerns I was told by Aaron that I was buying a spec home and that I needed to adjust my expectations, that maybe if it had been a custom home things might be different. That one statement really illustrated the core flaw with this company: a standard of quality isn’t a guarantee for every house they build. It’s a self-admission that not every job they perform is going to be held to the same standard.
Buyer beware: quality is not guaranteed with Aaron Simque Homes, be prepared for a drawn out battle to get what you can taken care of, all the while dealing with poor customer service (especially so after the money is in their account).
