I built a very expensive custom home with Aaronal homes. This custom home was our retirement home and we thought we thought of just about everything as we had built 4 homes previously. It has been a little over two years since we moved in and the quality was not to the standard I expected. The owner is very nice and is-very good with the esthetics facet of home construction but does not do as well with making sure key systems are installed to standard. I am talking about such systems as foundational supports, HVAC, electrical, etc. I would caution any perspective person contracting with this builder to not let your guard down during the building process, supervise to the best you can everything during construction. My wife and I thought we had done so but let our guard down and trusted to much in a few areas, We did have a building inspector check the home at completion and some very major things were found to have been incorrectly installed. I will not get into the details but the problems were both small and major. So my advise is to not think this builder is any better or worse than other builders in the market place like Stanley Martin or Pulte. Always trust but verify everything and in areas you are not an expert with for example in my case HVAC systems have an independent expert check the systems before your 1 year warranty on your home is complete. Also do not rely on county code inspectors to find all the errors in construction, they are human and many times not experts in the systems they are responsible for checking.
