Horrible he is unprofessional, only there to make the money then leave you with the mess he made. Can tell he doesn't care for customers or keeping up with their pool care. I wasted 200 bucks and my pool is in the same spot it was still green and clogged. Plus I think he dinked with our system and it is now leaking. I will never be using him again and I highly advise anyone to hire an actual professional

Mike is very educated on pool equipment and how everything works! He will make sure you, the homeowner, know how things work and what you need to do. Yes he can be very intimidating but who isn't when they are teaching you something new He tells it like it is. I would recommend his service!

Mike is an angry unethical man who is two faced. He will show you a nice side at first but he has an angry dark unethical side to him you don't want to see. I would never do business with this company.

We hired Above the Rest Swimming Pool Service and Repair on 5/16/17 to:
Drain and acid wash
Remove in-floor valet system, patch the holes left by the valet system and remove and cap the valet control system
Repair rebar breakthrough
Patch chips and cracks on the pool step
And clean the tiles (This was added later to the list of things to be done)
He (Mike) started the work on 05/17/17 and he did drain and acid wash the pool, remove the in-floor valet, repair the cracks and chips on the step and repair the rebar issues but did not clean the tiles and the work done on the step was uneven and chipping. He did attempt to repair the step but the repair job was still uneven and chipped.
He then told me that he would have to drain the pool past the step to repair it and that I would have to pay for the extra water (approximately 1,000 gallons) and said that he does not reimburse for water, even though it was his fault the step was not done correctly.
Then he said he could fix the step without draining out the water. The step is still uneven, rough and chipped after two attempts to repair it.
He was rude, pushy and aggressive and accused me and/or our dog of doing something to the step.
After about 7 days of not cleaning the tiles, I told him to return our money ($250) for the tile cleaning. He said that was acceptable and we were told that the money would be credited back to our credit card within 3 to 5 days. It was not. He then told me that he had credited the wrong card (another customer) and that he would bring cash. I have yet to receive the cash. He does not return calls and does not show up when he says he will.
He did finally call and said he would be here to repair the step on a Sunday 6/4/2017. After waiting for him for the entire day, he never showed up to do the job.
When I finally did get in touch with him, he said that he would come to give us the cash on Monday 6/5/2017 and did not show up. He came on 6/6/2017 but no one was home. I was working and my wife went to the store for about an hour and that was when he came. I had left the back yard gate unlocked for him to get in and complete the repairs to the step.
He said he had $250 in cash for us but had no one to give it to.
He then left and his excuse was that he was on another job and he would be back on Tuesday 6/6/2017 and would give us the cash then. At this time we negotiated a return of another $100 (the cost of repairing the step) bringing the total that he owes us to $350 and he was to return that money in cash.
It is now the 8th of June and still no money and he will not return my calls. All I get is his answering machine. I am calling him every 30 minutes to an hour apart with no response from him.
On 6/9/2017, after 21 calls in 3 days, Mike finally called me and told me that he would refund the $350 to our credit card, but with a stipulation. He said the credit card company charges 10% for the refund process and the total received by us would be $315. It appears that we are to pay the 10% fee for his mistakes.
It is now June 13th and still no refund to the card. I started calling 480-577-4266 again at about 30 minute intervals, but as of 12:30 PM we have still not received any call from Above the Rest.
