When I called I said the job I wanted done and asked if they were familiar with that job. I was told they did it all the time. I was quoted an hourly rate of $115.. Two electrician were sent out and of course the apprentice was sent to do the more complicated work in the crawl space. Because the apprentice did the complicated work, it took 3.5 hours to do. My plumber said it was a simple electrical job and it looked to me to be a simple job for someone experienced. The hourly rate came to about $200 and the total bill to about $900. I saw no need for two electricians. The bill also contained a charge for a permit, and I saw no indication at all that that work was done.
