Please BEWARE of this company and DO NOT USE THEM unless you want a big headache! They are very unethical and dishonest! My heat pump was installed, incorrectly, over a year ago and is still leaking water. The previous owner had water problems when he started using the air last summer and I've had issues since I started using the air this summer. The pea trap under the house was not installed right and water backs up in the tray, causing water to leak on my floor and in the little overflow area where the filter goes. Last Fri two technicians came and thought they had fixed the problem...........fourth time they were here. In the process, they unhooked the drain line completely and were both too large to go into the crawl space. They said that "Shane" would come back this week and reconnect the line. On Mon, another tech came and knew nothing about what had happened on Fri. He, also, was too large for the crawl space and told me that the problem was incorrect installation and that the only way to fix it would be to change the way the drain was. This news, after dealing with it for 19 months, every time the air was used!! In the meantime, water is continuing to collect under my house and mold has started growing on the floorboards. Now, they tell me that they will not come back to my house unless I pay $250, even though the drain came loose WHEN THEY WERE WORKING ON IT! Of course I can never speak to the owner!! He is always "on a call" or "not in the office", and has not returned my calls even though I've left several messages. He had one of the girls tell me that they gave the previous owner $1200 to have it fixed somewhere else. The fact is that the $1200 was given to the previous owner to clean up the water left under the house by their technician, last June!! Sherry just told me this morning that the money was to clean up the water, this time! She didn't even realize that that issue was from LAST JUNE!!!! NOBODY ELSE HAS TOUCHED THIS UNIT BUT ACADEMY MECHANICAL IN CONCORD!!! Stay away from this outfit! They are dishonest and will jerk you around! All they want is customers! If they do an install, they are through!! They aren't interested in fixing anything.
