  Remodel the entire driveway.

  $18,000

  Stay away from this conman. We are out $16,000. He was paid on April 28th -2025. It's 124 days now and the driveway is not done. He is a pathological liar and a conman. He just texted today, August 28th saying he needs 11 more days to find someone to pour concrete. All hogwash. We have reported him to Bedford police for theft. Also, get a second opinion immediately he finishes the work as he will use shortcuts and do a shoddy job. We have one lined up who will give us the paperwork for litigation' if he ever finishes the project.

  I have contacted the Attorney General Office today as well as BBB and FTC. Do not hire this fraudster anywhere in this country. NELSON ACOSTA- TEXCON- CRETE.

  I wish I had seen these reviews before I too got scammed! We hired Nelson
  Acosta of Texcon-Crete in August of 2021. He blamed everything under the sun for not completing the work - including rain. We are out of $2100 because of this con artist. His high review is only because he wrote his own review.

  BACKYARD PATIO EXTENSION

  STAY AWAY FROM NELSON ACOSTA(972-626-1335) DBA TEXCON-CRETE! ITS A TOTAL RIP-OFF! IT'S A TEXAS BASED CONNING BUSINESS RUN BY NELSON ACOSTA!

  Prior to signing the contract, Nelson will make tons of false promises which he will never keep up once he gets the contract signed and gets his initial deposit amount.

  My Story......
  I signed a contract to get my backyard patio extended on April 26th at 8pm. Nelson promised to begin the work following Monday on May 3rd and finish the work latest by May 10th and took the initial deposit of $2000 from me. I had checked multiple time with Nelson if there anything that might delay his work OR be the reason for the work to get delayed. But, Nelson promised that nothing would delay my project and would get the work begin and end on time.
  Nelson never showed up on May 3rd, but that is when he began with his loads of excuses! Nelson would never pick your phone calls, and has a filled up voicemail box which wouldn't even let you leave a voice message. Once in a while he would respond back to your text message with another set of excuses due to which he was unable to show up to begin the work. After many missed calls and multiple text messages, Nelson and his son showed up couple of times for few hours and capped off the sprinkler heads. Then never to be seen again.
  Again, after multiple phone calls and text, on May 10th (the day, the project was expected to finish the work), Nelson finally shows up and dumps few piles of dirt/gravel on my backyard. Since then, Nelson hasn't returned back to complete the work.
  After multiple text messages and 10+ missed phone calls from me, Nelson responds to one of my txt message stating that he was unable to come back due to bad weather over the past days/week; which again was an utter lie, as it rained only couple of days that too for few hours in a day!
  Moreover, Nelson had promised to complete all the spade work that was required prior to pouring of the concrete, none of which got done so far.
  All I am left with is, 3-4 piles of gravel/dirt and metal rods for rebarring sitting in my backyard since I signed the contract on April 26th and losing $2000.
  Nelson, is no longer returning my phone calls, nor responding to my text messages! Today, Saturday May 15th is a beautiful, bright and sunny day with 82 degrees temperature outside, but Nelson still opts not to show up to get the work done.

  I have come across other similar horror stories from other clients since I signed the contract with Nelson. In those other stories, clients have called Nelson con artiste who is good at making lots of promises but has failed to deliver and complete the promised the work on time with quality!

  Nelson Acosta, seems to run his business under different dubious business names like Acosta Concrete OR Texcon-crete.

  SO, PLEASE STAY FROM NELSON ACOSTA AND HIS TEXCON-CRETE OR ACOSTA CONCRETE BUSIENSS! AS THE BUSINESS NAME READS, IT SEEMS IT IS TRULY is 'TEX-CON', WHERE NELSON SEEMS TO BE IN THE BUSINESS OF CONNING PEOPLE OF THEIR MONEY WITHOUT HAVING TO DELIVER TO THE PROMISES HE MAKES PRIOR TO GETTING THE CONTRACT SIGNED!

  Driveway approach

  I hired Nelson Acosta dab:Acosta Concrete to instal 2 driveway approaches at my home. Beware of this contractor and do not use them for any project! He did the typical scam Contractor move of wanting money upfront, which I paid in good faith and then he did no work and would not return phone calls or text messages, and would only show up sporadically with lots of excuses. He will show up on time with his hand out wanting money, but don’t give it to him! As you can read the review before mine he did the exact same thing to this woman in Richardson and when I confronted him about it he blamed her for all of the problems as usual. I cannot warn everyone enough to beware of this person or his company and not to do business with him. If you do you will regret it as me and the lady in the other complaint already do.

  Do not hire Acosta Concrete, Nelson Acosta is a ripoff. He doesn't file appropriate license for permit with the city. Doesn't show proof of bond insurance. He wants money up front as a deposit to do work and he never shows back up on a schedule. He pops up on your property we he gets ready unannounced. He dodges your phone calls. His work is poorly done. A one week job promised turned into a 3 month nightmare, and his work is still not down. Stay away from this contractor, he has reputation of hiring more contractors to work and he doesn't pay them also. Lengthy history of scamming people for years. He is an organized crime specialist to promise you great work, talks a good game and doesn't deliver.
