    Horrible paving work. Unprofessional and dishonest. Altered contract and refused to provide receipt for cash deposit. Did not finish job and did not return calls. BBB notified

    Original call to Active was returned promptly and the estimate for the job was very competitive. Edward arrived late on the day the job was supposed to start and said he needed to go get some equipment but never returned. When I tried to contact Edward, both phone lines were unreachable / cannot accept calls. I was finally able to reach Edward the following day only to be told that he will not be able to do the job. Very unhappy with communication on the job and how the whole situation was handled.

    Demanded cash for deposit and would not provide receipt. Falsified contract by adding things after it was signef. Gaps and uneven pavers with unnecessary cuts. Poor communication and they did not finish the job. Angry and beligerent

    "Excellent Choice"
    Active Paving & Masonry is honest and fair. The price charged was very competitive too. John used the best materials available and did not cut corners at all as i watched the entire process from preparing the site too the finishing touches. Also there 5 years guarantee gives that extra piece of mind. His team is very professional. I would hire them again if any need may arise. The team could improve its communications skills a little more and pay more attention to details like time frame and so but besides the point they were very quick and professional.
    I would also recommend these guys too anyone looking to get work done !

    Instead of removing the concrete they paved over with patio blocks. The driveway was repaved to meet the walkway. Now I have an uneven front entrance to my house and a driveway with 3-5 inch drops on each side. They promised to fix (six calls) and it obvious they have no intention to stand by their work. It looks unprofessional and is dangerous (tripped several times).

    Absolutely outstanding job, from beginning to end! The Team at Active are amazing and John addressed all my concerns no matter how small they were. Extremely professional, clean and neat and courteous of my surrounding neighbors. I have a large ,long driveway and needed very particular stone work done. I waited a long time to find the right team of professionals to do this job, and I couldn't be happier! Price was great too! Highly recommend! Thank you for a job well done!

    I just wanted to say thank you and the guys at Active paving for our amazing new steps, walkway, expanded driveway and back patio!

    Amy and I are so happy with the finished product. Since moving to Abington in 2009, we have been putting off doing our cracked steps and walkway over and over again. finally we knew it was time that it had to be done. We have a wonderful home inside, but our curb appeal was seriously lacking and I was tired of taking pictures of my girls on the front steps with the ugly backdrop behind them.

    I am happy to say we now have a front of the house to match the inside!

    From your first meeting with me, you came with ideas, a booklet of samples in hand and a paver and stone sample briefcase. You were honest with me about your thoughts, price and vision. Though my wife wasn't home, you stopped by again in the afternoon to see if she was back so you could introduce yourself. That said something. About 4 days later, you did finally meet Amy and once she was comfortable with you and your team, I knew we had finally made the right choice.

    We picked the stone and pavers quite easily, but were unsure how to put everything together. You had a vision to round the retaining wall (which has received raves from everyone on our block since it was installed), fishtail out the walkway and knew exactly where to extend the driveway. We put our trust in you and your team and you guys did not disappoint.

    In fact, from the work on our house, you also picked up two of my neighbors homes immediately. That says something... you are good!

    You were at our house for 12 hours a day for 4-5 days (even with your birthday hangover, lol). I would not hesitate to recommend you to our family, friends, clients and neighbors (in fact I already have). You guys truly did an outstanding job and i now look forward to sitting on our new steps with the girls and their neighborhood friends lining the walkway eating lunch and playing outside this summer. Thank you all again!
