    A & d Horizon RIPOFF!!!!!

I purchased my house thru Invest Atlanta's down payment assistance program 1/27/2015. I had the house inspected, another inspection was necessary as the person who flipped this house,Brent Hill, did not have any gas appliances hooked up and the outside central a/c unit was not installed. He did pay for the second inspection. My home inspector found several issues, one being mold in the crawl space, questionable front siding, all windows painted shut, live wires not secured in attic and other issues. The house had been gutted and everything was replaced. While all pipes, drains, all plumbing fixtures, tub/shower combo and stall shower.
The roof was covered in leaves and the home inspector didn't feel comfortable going up there. He told me and stated in home inspection to discuss condition of roof with present owner and if he didn't know to have it inspected by a professional roofer. I talked to Brent Hill who told me the roof was maybe 5 years old and in good condition. He did say a couple minor leaks, but they were repaired.
I moved in 1/28/2015. about 2-3 weeks later i was contacted by homeowners insurance company wanting the roof professionally inspected. I told them I cannot afford that and feel free to inspect it themselves. A week later, I got the cancellation notice. I spoke to Brent hill who again said roof is fine. He referred me to another insurance company. Their coverage started 3/2/2015. They came out a week later to inspect house. I was notified the front siding must be replaced asap as well as roof repairs. I did pay for new siding and had a few estimates for a roof. the cost was out of my reach and I felt blessed to find Senior Connections who does home repairs for seniors and the disabled. I was approved for a new roof. They got funding thru the Federal Government. I met with Mark Smith and Dot Adams of A&D Horizon construction. As this job was at no cost to me, I tried to make it as easy as possible for all concerned. While discussing details, I made it very clear to Dot and Mark I understand a dumpster will be in the driveway; I asked PLEASE be sure the dumpster is placed so there is a small concrete path [ side of driveway ] so I can get mail, to my vehicle, etc. I explained my disability as a partial club foot. This is a foot deformity whick makes me wear shoes made to the shape of my feet and I have been using a cane to walk. I told dot I am unable to walk on the lawn as I have no balance and will NOT risk falling. I also asked for advance notice of dumpster being delivered so I can be here as well as notice of construction dates so I can be sure to be home.
Monday 10/5/15 Dot called at almost 10p to tell me materials and dumpster will be delivered on Tuesday. I reminded Dot of the path as I had a dr appt 10/6/15. When I got home 10/6/15, I saw dumpster mid driveway and materials to the side. I called Dot and told her it is a very wide dumpster and made sure she KNEW to NOT block me in my house.
Her workman showed around 2pm 10/7/15 to look at job. i asked if they are starting today? they said no. A few minutes later, I hear hammers banging. Someone came to door saying they are starting. i walked outside and told the young man to be sure my Odyssey can get out of driveway. he didnt understand so I walked him to my van and said I am leaving in 20 minutes. I got dressed , walked outside and dumpster company came and I was trapped as my entire driveway was blocked. I yelled at workman telling them NO, dumpster must be moved! they refused. I called Dot , yelling at her what did she not understand about leaving me a path? The witch hung up on me. Come to find out, she NEVER told workman to leave a path. so, I cancelled a Dr appt 20 minutes prior to appointment time.
The next day, workman were finishing up the job. They dropped something heavy on my roof which cracked my ceiling. When they were finally done, Dot was here and I told her of the crack. I brought her in and showed her. She asked what she is looking at? I told her damage by YOUR workman. I went outside to look around after all left and noticed board gutter hangs on is broken in two places. I called Dot to inform her of damage. Next morning she showed up, (never a courtesy call) next morning and took pictures I reminded her of damage to ceiling. She said she would get back to me. I kept in touch with Mark Smith of senior connections informed of issues. His attitude said he didn't care.
On 10/9/15 an Atlanta inspector came out to inspect. I told him the contract was a joke as nails everywhere which were supposed to be picked up with a metal magnetic device and showed him broken board in 2 places. that night around 6pm, Dot had 2 men show up to cover damage to my home with chauk. I said Hell NO! Broken wood will be replaced with new wood, chauk is unacceptable. they started yelling , I told them get off property as I am calling Atlanta police. I called Dot to tell her NO! you are replacing wood. She hung up again.
