Strip and retain that and seal outside building structure.
    $25,000

I would not reccomend this contractor. We are not done with his services, but after reading a few of the on line reviews I'm seeing a trend with this contractor. He shows up does 2 hrs of fast work packs up and disappears. Says we'll have this finished this week and it's two weeks later and still not done. We're up against the weather now and on nice days he's not there working or they work a short day or havee excuses for not being there. One thing that really has me miffed is the color. We choice a color we liked and he told us that color won't work and chose his own color . Now our property is not how we wanted it and we may be stuck with it after a very large price tag. We're waiting to see how he responds to my letter.if no satisfaction I may have to resort to further actions. I've spoken with an attorney friend and was advised to approach with a letter of dissatisfaction & disappointment first. So we'll see.

I have never written a poor review but feel I must warn others so will not hire this man to do any work. He guaranteed his paint job for 2 years but because he failed at prepping our house correctly, in less than a year the paint was peeling. We had several phone and email conversations that ended with us contacting the PA State Attorney General. Guisewite promised to re-paint every summer since the original job but has never shown up and has given us excuse after excuse.
Please look elsewhere for a painting contractor.

I recently hired Guisewite to repair sheetrock, repaint and replace trim.

I was told that there would be a crew of 3 and that it would take 3, 8 hour days to complete the job.

They started a week behind schedule. The first day, there were only 2 painters and they were only here for a few hours. The second day they were here for 4 hours. Only 2 painters and one complained of a sore shoulder and worked very little. On the 3rd day the owner said that he was sick and that day, nobody came.

The following Monday, 3 painters did show up and they got a lot done, however, they left at 3:00PM.

At 2:00PM on Tuesday of last week I noticed the painters packing up. I asked why and they responded that this was their busy season and they had another job to get to.

I reminded the owner of his time frame. His response was that it was not 8 hours a day but 8 hours over many days but that he would finish tomorrow.

I asked him how he expected to finish tomorrow because there were still visible cracks in the sheet rock that needed to be mudded and painted. He assured me that it would be fixed and that it would be "beautiful".

He and his crew got upset at my questions but assured me that the job would be down tomorrow (Wednesday) by noon.

The next morning there was tension. I was not happy and neither were they.

The owner started off by complaining in an angry tone that I had changed my mind on the caulk color and that he would have to go an exchange it.

Shortly after that, another painter yelled "f*king dog water bowl, everyday, I kick over that f*king dog water bowl".

It started to rain. This same gentlemen moved his saw from outside and started using it in the house.

I have Cerebral Palsy and Anxiety. I couldn't take it anymore and asked them to leave.

The owner started yelling he wouldn't leave the house until I paid him and he threw his payment book down on my chair. Then he yelled "do you really think you're going to screw me?"

I have a recording of this conversation. It's currently be reviewed by my lawyer.

There are 3 big guys refusing to leave my home unless I paid them. With Cerebral Palsy, I was scared and not thinking clearly as I asked them to stay and finish.

As you can imagine, the job they did is awful. Cracks are still visible, the trim work is patchy and unfinished, bootprints on one of windowsills.

The owner has offered to come back and fix things but I don't want them in my house.

I have filed a restrainer order against Mr. Guisewite and am in civil litigation due to his actions and poor work.
