1 star is one too many:
On March 17th, 2012, I contracted with the subject company, and specifically its owner, Joe C. Dunford, to place holiday lighting on my home for the 2012 Christmas season. I'd used this company for 7 years in the past and have had no problems until this year. The pre-paid promotion being run was for a discount from the usual price of $225.00, and was represented to me as a sort of reward for my loyalty as a customer. In prior years, Mr. Dunford had seen to it that he scheduled my installation before Thanksgiving, so when that holiday came and went with no communication, I attempted to call him to schedule the installation. Initially, his primary business phone was never answered, and a secondary phone simply went to a full voice mail box. By chance I called the primary number from a different phone, and when Mr. Dunford didn't recognize the number, he answered it. Somewhat surprised to be talking to me, the owner apologized for any number of difficulties he had been having and promised to come to my home for the installation on Saturday, December 1, 2012.He not arrive on December 1. I repeatedly attempted to call him the following business day, Monday & after being able to leave a single voice mail, the subsequently full mail box no longer accepted messages. The secondary number for the company was eventually answered by his wife (it was her personal cell phone), who again offered many excuses, and promised to have him call me at the first opportunity. I have sent text messages to that number, and have attempted to contact the company at its e-mail address. All requests for communication have gone unanswered, and as of this writing, no attempt has been made to either contact me or perform the installation service.
Further investigation of the business address provided on Mr. Dunford's receipt, indicates that the address is in fact a private residence, currently in foreclosure as of 12/10/12.
