This man is a scammer. 15 years ago we hired him for a remodeling job. He did about 10% of the work and ran off with all of the money. By the time we filed a suit it turns out many other people were also suing at the same time.

Very professional scammer. Well-practiced master of false promises. I cleaned out my savings account for a renovation in Dallas. He tore out the bathroom, left the torn-out sheetrock, cabinets, and trash on the front porch, and left with the money.
I got legal representation and took him to court. He did not show up but the judge after examining pictures raised my asking settlement by $20,000.
My attorney was able to prove that Erv Slovak never intended to complete the job.
Slovak filed bankruptcy and my attorney sent me a list of his victims who were seeking compensation. The list was over 3 pages. Unless you want your name on the list, do not hire him.
