  Onions to "Affordable Plumbing".... A true oxymoron that you soon discover when you have called them for help.....
  Their guy took advantage of me and my sense of fairness prompted me to email the company about this problem and wait a week for a private dialogue
  They have chosen to ignore me, so here it is!
  I woke up last Sunday to find a pinhole spraying water out of the pipe right above my pressure regulator.....
  I called Affordable Plumbing, because their website implies fair dealing, senior discounts and, well, "Affordable Plumbing"!
  I got an almost immediate call-back and the gal could send somebody fairly quickly and the emergency Sunday call is $170 and pays for the first hour of service, which I agreed to.....
  The guy arrived about 10 am and quickly slapped a piece of rubber hose and a hose clamp, stopping the leak and saying he'd have to come back tomorrow to do any actual plumbing because every piece of pipe in sight needed replacement, easily $600 during a normal weekday appointment, but way more on Sunday....He basically refused to solder in a new three inch piece of copper that was leaking and when I asked him about the 45 minutes left on the clock, he stated that the $170 was for him showing up and stopping the leak within an hour, which he had done....I wrote him a check for $170 and he was gone in less than twenty minutes!
  Monday, the same guy arrived promptly at 8:10 am and after a bit of "discussion", he grudgingly agreed to "attempt" to do the repair I wanted done Sunday..... The repair was done and he was paid an additional $120 and down the road by 8:55am, proving that the repair could have been done within the $170 hour I paid for on Sunday.....
  The guy was pushy, condescending, adversarial, and kinda rude and unpleasant to deal with....
  In fairness, I do hafta say that this company was prompt and the workmanship of the actual repair is not substandard......
  Bottom line though is that the Monday visit and it's $120 cost was completely unnecessary because the repair could have been competently performed within the $170 Sunday hour I'd already paid for.....Time on the entirety of both visits combined were barely an hour!..... Still deciding whether a small claim is in order...
