    Bathroom Tiling
    $2,000

ZERO STARS Don't even bother with using these people. Regardless of whatever response she/he/it gives to this review, it does not negate the fact they have left me over $2000 worth of material and searching for a new contractor. I had placed a request on Thumbtack with my exact requirements. I said I would provide the materials and provided pictures of the same. I provided both a schematic and pictures of my bathroom with measurements. I specifically noted that it would be for removal of existing tile and placement of new. I also made it adamant that my budget was a set dollar amount, nothing more and nothing less. Only those that were comfortable with that amount should inquire. One of the first people to inquire was Affordable Precision Tile and Flooring LLC. They literally wrote, they were comfortable with that budget. But requested images of the bathroom and I provided them. Just to confirm everything, I scheduled a telephone conversation with myself, my brother and one of their workers (who I believe is the email representative's husband). We described everything from the thickness of the tiles, the type of tiles, the size of the bathroom and the prospective date of the demo. We agreed on everything, except the shower floor which would be decided day of the demo. We were set to start one month later on, April 11th, 2016. I had to provide the materials and tiles and they would bring the man power. We had confirmed a date to begin the work. An email was sent confirming the date as well. Under their assurances and agreement, I bought the materials and tiles, at a whopping cost over $2000. And they played the waiting game. On April 8th just 3 days short of the actual start day, I get an email saying that one of their worker's (her husbands) son is in the hospital and that he wont be able to complete the job. I was sympathetic and said, I wish him good health and don't mind waiting after the recovery and a suitable time to have Edwin (the worker in question) be with his son. Instead I get a response to the tune of, "Oh well, I wasn't aware you required demo as well and we cant do it for that price anymore. It is an unrealistic price." It was realistic when they agreed to the price. Utterly unprofessional. My requirements were written in plain sight on the thumbtack request on what I needed, so her claim is just a bold face lie. It is obvious, given price was her motive to tell me three days before the start date, that she expected me to fork over more money to continue the job or that she received a larger more expensive project and wanted to "dump" mine. For people who use the term "professional" like crazy, their actions are no where close. And to use a child illness as a reason not to do work is not professional, but I do understand and have some degree of compassion. I hope he recovers soon. I wished they showed the same level of compassion back to me, instead of being rude and obstinate. I relayed to her that I had already bought the materials under the assurances of her and her husband/worker Edwin. Most of it was unreturnable because it was over a month since we agreed on the project and the date when they would be free. I said this is unfair and I would take legal action or alert the BBB. Her response, "You can do what you want". Her childish response should be an indication of how utterly useless these "contractors" are. Don't be fooled by the license, and if you chose to take their services, ask for a copy of the license as proof. In the end I am stuck with $2000 worth of tile and building materials in my dining room thank to these utterly unprofessional, untrustworthy and rude so called "professionals". There is absolutely no loyalty. I mean, the fact that they agree to a price and then, literally at the last minute, say they cant do it because of price means they is something fishy. They were planning on making be buy the material, have it pass the date were I could return it, and then have me in such difficult a position that I would have no choice to pay them more money to complete the job since I'm stuck with the material. Cons! They fact she had the day open but was saying the money was not enough means it was their plan to have be buy the material and then make me pay more at the last minute. There is another reviewer who had a similar experience where they had to pay more than the quoted price once job started. I'm just glad they didn't try to fleece me in the middle of the job and I was able to become aware in advance. STAY AWAY! They are dishonest, rude and highly unprofessional. It will cost your more in the end. People usually tend to only write reviews when they are angry or have negative experiences. But I usually tend to write reviews on both good and bad experiences. And this is one of the most horrible experiences I have ever had. I am contemplating legal action against the company for the depreciated amount, but just calculating if it is worth the time and effort to take them to
