    External repair

    We have used Affordable Solutions LLC on several occasions. Their prices are reasonable and their work is excellent. We plan on using them in the future for our repair and project needs

    The first time we hired Affordable Solutions was to repair our front door. It was severely weathered and they made it look new after a couple days work without removing it. They charged us 1/3rd of the other companies that gave us quotes. We also have had them repair other doors, fix rotted stairs, replace broken deck boards, replace handrails, stain and paint, as well as multiple repairs. Each time their workers came when they said they would, did the work efficiently and did a great job.

    One very important point: we have had several storm-related repairs lately. Our insurance provided contractor ghosted us, several others did not return our call, many thought our needs were not substantial/lucrative enough. Andy Gibb and his team have come through for us with reasonable prices, good communication and great results!

    Repair wooden spindle
    $415

    After searching Angie’s list for a reputable company to repair a single wooden spindle on my stairwell, I called Affordable Solutions, LLC to come out and provide me with a n estimate. Mr. Gibbs came to home, extremely late on the day of the appointment. He suggested he cut the damaged spindle and take it with so it could be matched exactly. He ensured me his wood guy could replicate the discontinued spindle as I requested. He also ensured me it would only take a few days to get the spindle back. He quoted me a price e of over 400.00 for 1 wooden spindle and would not start the work without a deposit and contract. It ended up being weeks before I got the spindle back.
    When he returned, the color was extremely off, and he had to take the spindle back to fix the color. Several weeks later he again returned.
    When he returned I could not believe what he brought back to be placed in my home stairwell. It was not the custom-made spindle replicated by his wood guy, but a 6.00-dollar spindle from Home Depot. The color did not match, nor was it the same style of spindle. He failed to inform me that he would be installing the wrong spindle. I WAS LIVID! I could not believe a so call reputable company bamboozled me out of 400.00 for a 6.00 spindle. I asked him why he did not call or inform me he had the wrong spindle, he just arrived at my home and commenced to installing the mismatched spindle.
    He never apologized, never offered a refund, not even partial. I am still considering suing him for breach of contract.
