I am a design consultant for modernist + architectural + film projects for 25+ years... I was in a pinch and needed a floor to be installed quickly. It was a difficult floor due to specs and selected wood type (eco)... Manny Aguilar/Aquilar Floor Covering was recommended to me by a contractor friend. I hired them and was extremely satisfied. Manny and his team were professional, had a strong sense of design and pattern, understood the direction, knew their craft inside-out, showed up on time and communicated punctually; did a thorough job even when other jobs were waiting for them, and exceeded expectations on outcome of floor. They did an impeccable job with molding, threshold spacers and trim. I then hired him to work with a Johnsonite flooring material on a project and he did a great job with this material, too... especially since the order was short, Manny took the product back to his studio, figured out a way to cut it to make it work; then returned and installed it. His crew was terrific, too. A+ work.

We were referred to Aguilar Floor Covering by Linoleum City, where we purchased 12x12 heavy-duty vinyl flooring tiles for a classic black & white checkerboard patterned kitchen. The floor in our 1948 building is uneven and we knew it would be a painstaking job to level it out and prep it for a proper install. Manny and his crew were prompt, courteous, and responsive to all questions and scheduling shifts. Once they started the job they took great care to ensure all of the details were perfect at every step of the process - both in the preparation of the subfloor, and the laying of the tile in a diagonal pattern. We are thrilled with their work and highly recommend them.
