I hired Vince Mazzagatti from AHR Construction in early Sept 2018 to perform a renovation of my kitchen, foyer, laundry room, and 2 1/2 baths and painting renovated rooms and living room and stairwell. The only work that he completed in 3 months was 1 1/2 baths, a demo of the kitchen, laundry room and foyer and tiling the kitchen floor. The work that was completed was satisfactory. However, this contractor stopped showing up to finish the project, did not pay his subcontractors (which I had paid Vince to pay them), threatened my designer, and walked off my job, without any notice, on 3-Dec-18. He owes me money for parts of the job that were paid in advance, and will not now return any phone calls, texts or my money. I have had to pay a plumber and an electrician to complete work that I had previously paid Vince to pay for these services and I have had to find other contractors to complete the work. Vince also tries to charge tax on services, which is not legal. The worst part is that my young daughter, who just purchased her first condo, ordered a custom sliding door from AHR construction and paid $2,559 to initiate the order. The door was supposed to be delivered by Thanksgiving. Vince has not provided or installed the door and keeps giving her the run-around about when she will get her door. We assume that he will not ever deliver the door and has essentially stolen this money from her. DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR.
