My experience was extremely poor. I have had to hire another contractor to finish and repair multiple issues, including safety issues.

We did a complete renovation, & we had to move out. It took twice as long as he estimated, and it was way over budget. He told me that he had “the permit in hand” and it was ready to go when the permit had actually been declined. We moved back in 4/2016. He has not finished, and I am in the process of hiring contractors to complete the job. They disposed of property I asked him to retain. They flooded my basement. There was a lot of damage done by him and/or his workers. I did not have hot water for a year unless I turned on every spigot in the house. One of his workers flushed plastic in my basement toilet, then another one defecated in the stopped up toilet, and I had to pay a plumber to fix it. The drywall was installed so poorly it looks as if it is moving. I paid to have him put up wainscoting to cover it in some places, but it is like this all over the house. All of the marble in my master bath is scratched and my master shower was turn apart for months to fix a leak that I am not convinced is fixed since there appears to be moisture behind the walls. They ruined my brand new hardwood floors, and when they "fixed" them, my brand new hardwood floors looked worse than the original damage. Bob personally parked his pressure washer on my patio that leaked oil all over my new blue stone patio and the stain will not come out. The entire house was poorly painted and there are places that have not ever been painted. The exterior of the house is already completely covered in mildew. The new powder coat painted metal deck rails were damaged by his workers and have never been fixed. The deck boards are bowed and he messed them up when he, personally, power washed them. My custom kitchen cabinets are disintegrating. The quartz stone counter tops that were installed in my bathroom were obviously defective and look terrible. I am still waiting for replacement quartz that matches. I could go on & on with other problems. I have pictures of all of the damage, which I will use to educate perspective homeowners. The estimates are coming in and I will have to spend additional tens of thousands to have the work finished and the damages caused by him or his people repaired. When I have tried to get him to make it right, he promises me this and that and doesn’t come through. Lately he has the nerve to complain to me about how broke he is and how this has to end. He has “personally” guaranteed the work, but the concept of guarantee seems foreign to him. Every time they “fix” something they damage something. He told us that all the subs have worked with him for over 18 years, but it seemed like he was always “trying out” someone new on our job.
