AG
Anthony Gonzalez
AIG performed the simple work of installing rails on my front steps. While installing the rails he refused to listen to my requirements/suggestions made to him and did things he wish to do. Not the customer. He stated he would have assistance every time but assistance never showed up.
(quote) "Well my partner couldn't make it so I guess I have continue my own" Partner/assistant never showed up. He installed the railing against manufacturers plans leaving hardware exposed and gaps where rail was attached. The rail was never connected to a post 4x4 member but to only the vinyl sleeve. Pictures show screws coming from the rail going thru the sleeve cover only and nothing solid. The railing posts and rail shake when you grab the top rail. it is still unsafe.
When
I showed AIG the situation he accused me of causing the problem. Even though the problem was caused by his work which he refused to repair. Have multiple pictures I have entered for documentation. This work being performed in August 2020 after being suggested by both Angies's list and Home Advisor to perform this work. When I filed a complaint through Home Advisor. Home Advisor came to arbitration for this unprofessional work where I was to receive $1200 cash paid back to me for such damage. To this date never receiving any payment from AIG as he told by Home Advisor
to make such payment and he agreed to abide by. I have had multiple contractors as well as the Rhode Island Builders Association look at the work and see what "crap work" was performed. the RI builders association sent letters to him as well as registered mail informing him of the unsatisfactory work performed. AIG never responding to them as well. Multiple people in the field find the work needing replacement which AIG refused to do. Nor pay me for replacement as upon arbitration. Material being cut short causes the material to be unable to reuse. His unprofessional ways of conducting work has now been seen and documented by myself but by the RIBuilding/contractor's board and other contractors. Home Advisor has told him to make restitution and he still refuses. Legal grounds are the next step in which we are seeking with documented evidence. We have sent registered mail to the address and is refused to be picked up/received by him. Holding a tracker from USPS showing attempts have been made by our end and he refuses to receive nor pick up the letter. The RICR&L board have sent letters as well which AIG refuses to receive nor answer. Home Advisor's legal is looking further into this issue as well in 2021. If my statements are not true of his work Home Advisor nor the RIBC would have even got involved as well as verify his work which has now been documented, witnessed while he still refuses to pay arbitration in front of all these various departments. If anyone is looking to get work perform by this AIG contractor I suggest getting multiple bids first before hiring this contractor. Looking through AIG history can anyone see any great experiences for his work?
