Air-Izona LLC originally came to my house in May 2022 to fix an issue we were having with our thermostat, they were sent out by the home warranty company. The contractor replaced our faulty ecobee with an identical model. Subsequently, our bill from APS more than doubled, and when it came that time of year to use heat, our gas bill was twice as high as well. In the interim we attempted to solve the problem and had another contractor sent out by the home warranty company who checked the unit on the roof and verified that it was in perfect working order, the issue must be on the thermostat side. I then spent an afternoon on the phone with ecobee customer service, during which I was walked through every setting on the device and the problem remained unsolved. Meanwhile, our bill was still $360 a month from APS and $250 a month from Southwest Gas for a 1200 square-foot unit. I contacted the home warranty company again and requested they send Air-Izona LLC back out to my property because they were the initial installer of the new thermostat. The technician came out, confirmed that the thermostat was in fact, the issue, and replaced it with an analog (far less expensive/advanced) unit. The technician said the fan was running 24 hours a day, and when we had the heat on, the heat was running at the same time as the air conditioning (this was due to the wiring of the thermostat). Since then, the issue has been solved, but the consequence was hundreds of dollars in additional bills. The error on the part of Air-Izona LLC resulted in a huge financial burden that was not in the budget for the end of the year. When I contacted the business, I was told by Don that I was not allowed to speak to the man in charge, and that there is nothing they are willing to do because “you should have told us sooner.”
I have since filed a complaint with the BBB.
