Beware of this company if the home warranty company sends them out. Jason, who seemed knowledgeable, was sent to our home on 4/30 through American Home Shield, but works for Airmax Heating and Cooling. After his assessment, he pretty much let me know we needed a new system due to wear and tear, and told me he was for us. However, he also stated American Home Shield doesn’t like to replace systems. This confused me because it’s in their contracts to do so if it’s wear and tear. He stated he has seen people get lawyers and his favorite time was an influencer blasting them to her thousands of followers to get any type of system replaced. Well that’s not the kicker. The kicker is, instead of this man being honest and writing the assessment up exactly how he found it and how he explained to me, he finally submitted his report a week after (5/8) being at our home only to say that our system was under capacity. A 2.5 coil with a 3 ton condenser. All lies!!! What is wrong with these companies playing with hard working Americans money?!?! I immediately had reputable companies come out the same day I got the report because I knew Jason was a liar. The pictures are the assessments of those companies. Airmax conspired with American Home Shield and they came up with a lie to not fix our system. Oh, don’t worry Airmax, I will review AHS also and the fight is on people!!! I was told by several different contractors this is what happens when people don’t fight back. These home warranty companies will try to get out of replacing your system even though they have this in their contracts. But who would have thought the contractors would also be in on it and lie?!?! I wouldn’t recommend either one of these companies for a warranty or home repair needs.

This company is terrible- 100% would not recommend. They were sent out by American Home Shield. They are adamant they have documented evidence that my furnace doesn’t have a cracked heat exchanger. The technician was there all of 10 minutes looking at it. I was displeased si they sent out their “senior technician” to look at it again. He is adamant the furnace is fine and heat exchanger not cracked. Ended up replacing the unit in my own and it ended up having 6 large cracks on the heat exchanger. Called to discuss and office rep was extremely rude- often times raising her voice at me. This company is a scam and I would strongly recommend not using!!!!

I've done business with Airmax for years and couldn't be happier with the service. Every time Josh comes on time and fixes any issues and I don't worry about being charged for parts or equipment that wasn't needed just to pad their pockets. They do a great job and i'll continue to use them and refer friends and family to them when i can.

    Repair AC unit

The technician was pleasant, professional, found the problem quickly, and had it resolved in minutes.

I called my home warranty people, American Home Shield, a few weeks back because my air was acting strangely. Smells were coming from the vent and a whistling was coming through the vents as well. They sent Airmax Heating and Cooling. The tech did arrive and was here less than 10 minutes and advised me that he couldn't determine the issue but if the system were to go down between the time he'd been here and the next couple of months, I would not be charged again. Albeit, I appreciated that fact, my issue was to "NOT LOSE MY AIR." Needless to say, in 90+ degree weather here in OH, my air went out within the week. I called and was scheduled with the same vendor, Airmax Heating and Cooling LLC and was advised it would be at least a week before they could get back out to my home. Sickeningly, I accepted. I let my employer know that unfortunately, I would need time off "again" to be there for the people to work on my Air. It's summer, my son is on spring break and a resolution is needed. The temperatures in my home can exceed 90+ degrees. I was given the time off of work to meet the time frame of Friday 6/26/18, 2-6pm . The day before the appointment, I was called to confirm the appointment time and was told Friday 1:30-5:30pm. This was "already an issue" because now the time is being altered. I explained that I was given the 2-6 time frame, and was only approved to leave my job at 1:30 to meet the 2:00 pm time frame. I also had the original email and original confirmation that I gave my employer which reflected 2-6 and that's what they accommodated. Needles to say I got home just at 2:00pm . I received the text message indicating that the tech was on his way. I waited.... As time went on, as a previous employee to a major cable company, I felt the need to call because I know that when dealing with these type appointments, when the techs are overwhelmed and have other commitments, they will respond by "not homing" people. In other words , they will skip appointments and report that no one was home. I received no call ahead, nothing.... I called within an hour and was immediately told that my tech had already been there and gone. I was told that voice mail messages had been left and that they'd sat out front doing paperwork. This never happened. No calls , no voicemails and I have security cameras. When I called back to say that the tech never came and if he did,it was not in the time frame of 2-6, I was met with nastiness from the lady I spoke with, advising me that she "had to go with what her tech said " and in spite of my proof of a "no show" she offered me a reschedule option. These people must think I'm an executive and can take off at will. Keep in mind this is already the 2nd appointment. I don't and I can't just willy nilly take off at will. It's Friday and the next available appointment is not until Tuesday. I can't get off, so that puts me at the following Thursday, when I can get an early appointment prior to going in to work. Keep in mind, I've been without air conditioning in sweltering heats for 3 weeks +. I'm told that if I have a problem, to call the warranty people back because they don't work on weekends and they're tech will not be back out today, (as if he ever was ). I do this, and the warranty place calls the vendor, Airmax Heating & Cooling with me on hold and gets the same reply along with a offer to check the driver's GPS system. WOW... I never get a call back. No one shows. I'm stuck. No Advocate, No air, No consideration whatsoever. This is how business is done in 2018???

    Furnace
    $0

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have been without air for 4 WEEKS!!!!!! My husband and I are patient and understanding people but my experience with them has been horrible!! I have been waiting for my parts! The women who answers the phone could care less about customers and whoever is supposed to be in charge of ordering parts must be very unorganized. I use American home shield insurance so I understand they need to approve parts first but I have kept in contact with them and they have been very prompt with taking care of their side of the situation. Finally after four weeks without air I told the insurance company to send out someone else to do the job. I would rather wait to have another company come out and do the job than to deal with this terrible company. Never once was my husband or I rude with them maybe stern but never rude and we were put on the back burner. Never have I had such a terrible experience with a company. FYI they SUCK don't waste your money on them!!!!!!!!!! Don't just take my word for it look at their yelp reviews, more bad than good.

    Address cooling issue

Dishonest, irresponsible & unprofessional company- stay away! Terrible experience. The technician inadvertently took the power shutoff plug to our A/C unit. He did fix the blower on the furnace but he first was working on the A/C unit. The company claims they did not work on our A/C unit only the furnace, that is not true! The tech dealt with both units in diagnosing the issue. When I called to ask for the part to be returned Karen promised to call me back but did not. I have called, left messages and if I do get her on the phone she lies and tells me she will call the tech and call me back. The tech obviously can’t find the part but instead of replacing it they are just going to ignore their mistake and try to pass it on to another service b/c they are too dishonest and shady to simply resolve the issue. Do not use them because if you do you could be left w/o a working A/C or furnace with no end in sight. Again today they refuse to come out and rectify their mistake by saying they didn't take the part. Like a magical goblin came and took the part on the exact unit they last touched. Totally ridiculous. Terrible all around. If I came and fixed your cable box but accidentally took your power cord, I would return or replace it like any decent person would do, but not this company!

Terrible customer service. Have to call many many times before anyone picks up. Didn't return calls for messages left. Poor communication once contact was actually made therefore making repair job take far longer than it should. Girl who answers the phone has a very "I don't care attitude" about it all. Couldn't or wouldn't give any information on a time frame as to when we could expect parts to be ordered/delivered/installed. She just replied, "I don't know, we'll call you" . Would never recommend and will never use them again.

**update: the company seen my review and has now refused to complete the work UNLESS I agree to take down my negative review of them! Absolutely ridiculous! They claim I was rude! Lol...well I think anyone in my shoes would be annoyed with the situation. So yeah, I was "short" with the girl who answered. At no point, however, did I get loud or cuss or even reprimand! I simply asked when my a.c. unit would be fixed! Perhaps if the company cared to take care of their customers and communicate with them I wouldn't need to make a negative review. This company needs to take some ownership of their poor customer service. Had they made any attempt to rectify the situation and gotten my unit fixed I would have gladly changed my mind about a negative review. Unfortunately they only further prove my initial review was quite accurate. Worst company I've ever dealt with...do yourself a favor and literally do business with anyone but them!
