Landmark Home Warranty sub contracted Shawn owner of AirZona Cooling and Heating Doctor LLC to replace my compressor and capacitor, not my choice to hire him. My experience with contractor was horrendous from the time he got out of his truck. As this is going to be a long review, short story is, Shawn committed "FRAUD". He confirmed that the job was completed but did not replace the capacitor. When confronted and given evidence that the capacitor was not replaced he became angry, stating "what are you going to do about it and refused to fix the part. As a former contractor and have worked in construction for over 15 years, this is not the first time he has done this to customers.
First Service Day 7.27.20 - Shawn took two steps out of his truck and right away said my compressor was bad. Once he got to the unit and tested it, he confirm the compressor was bad. He said he was done and was going to head out. I asked him if he could check the rest of the unit, he said he didn't need too, I insisted that I would like him to look at the air handler. To appease me, he half ass looked at the air handler, not even opening it up to look inside at the coils or the blower motor. Upon finishing the inspection, he stated he would submit the PO to the home warranty company that night, following up that it would not be approved for two weeks and started talking negatively about how long the home warranty companies take.
7.28.20 - I received an email from the Landmark Home Warranty that the PO was approved and they where ordering the parts. I called Shawn, he was surprised that they approved it that quickly and the continued to speak negatively about Landmark and the parts would not be available to be picked up for another two weeks. I asked him if the parts come in earlier when he would be able to do the work. He stated he would usually be able to do it in the next day or two after he picked the part up. I continued to update Shawn via text regarding the parts.
August 3rd - I got confirmation the the PO was ready for pickup but the parts where at the Mesa location and the PO was at the chandler location. I informed Shawn of the situation and told him I was having the PO sent to the Mesa location, he stated he had a job the next morning and he could do it after. Again, Shawn was very negative saying that they wouldn't move the PO and don't expect him to be able to pick the parts up.
August 4th - The PO was sent over to Mesa and parts where ready to be picked up. Shawn was called, which at that point Shawn got upset, told me he could not do the job and said it couldn't be completed until the following Monday. I called Landmark and informed them on what the contractor said. Around 4;30 that day he said nobody at the mesa location has heard of my order. I call down there and they have it at the counter. I don't hear anything from Shawn after that. I get a phone call from my tenants that there is a truck on the property. Shawn did not give me any notice that he was replacing the parts, just shows up, tells my tenant not to call me and when I did come, tells me to go home. Meanwhile I have a Lyft waiting for me for a work dinner. He calls me, stats that the job is complete and gets final payment.
8.18.20 - My tenants call me to let me know the AC isn't working properly and is blowing warm air and smells like burnt electrical.
8.19.20 - Goettl AC comes and services my AC unit and find that the capacitor was never replaced. I called Shawn at that time, and asked if he replaced the capacitor, he states he did, I put the AC Technician on the phone and he read off the results from the capacitor to prove it was never replaced and it was not even the proper capacitor for the compressor. Shawn became angry and said what are you going to do about and said he wasn't going to fix it.
I confirmed with Mesa AR that Shawn picked up the correct parts and verified that the capacitor that he picked up was an 80, not a 75/5 that was on my unit, that was bad. I also confirmed that the compressor that was bad required a 75/5 capacitor.
DO NOT hire this company, SHAWN the owner can not be trusted

Amazing quick and efficient service. With no appointment, Shawn came by Before work on Thursday, as our A/C went down. (Not good in Arizona in July) Shawn diagnosed the problem (coils leaking). Ordered a new unit, and installed the unit on Saturday! WOW! Amazing. Can't say enough about the great experience!
