    House

    Scott Kirkegaard built my home. His attention to detail is unsurpassed! My home is exquisite and that is in thanks to his expertise in this field. If i would ever build another home i wouldnt use anyone else to build it. His warranty is second to none and years later he is still available for any needs that arise, though they have been few. I highly recommend AJ Kirkegaard Contractors!

    Build us a house

    My wife and I contracted with AJK back in 2015 to build the house of our dreams. Two years later - we would move into the house of our dreams. It was exquisite in every detail. Tremendous value; top notch materials; great construction and most importantly - competent subs in every respect. If we had questions about making changes, AJK would be there with suggestions - different color of stain; different tile pattern. And if we made that change, a very detailed change order would be drafted within days. In other words, there were never any surprised. There was a supervisor at our house EVERY DAY for almost 2 years. If we had questions about anything - AJK would answer it. I know people have told us that building a house can put a strain on a marriage. My wife and I actually built a home in Richmond Va in 1997 and swore - "never again". But I will always be thankful of the people who convinced me and my wife to contract with AJK. I think they are one of the top builders in Denver and I will always be indebted to them for the house they built for us. Take a look at 2217 S. Cook St. Beautiful home because of his attention to detail. I recommend him without reservation.

    Bought spec house that they were the general contractors for

    We purchased our house new from Appalachian Construction/A.J. Kirkegaard Contractors 12 years ago. The primary reason that we bought this house over others, was that the quality of the construction and finishes that were so far superior to any of the other newly constructed homes in the area that were available. And after living in tour home for 12 years, we have never had any reason to change our high opinion on the quality of A.J Kirkegaard and Scott in particular. In addition, we have called Scott on many occasions to ask a question about how something in the house works, or who to contact to have some home project done. He has always been extremely honest, responsive, professional and helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending A. J. Kirkegaard Contractors for any home construction projects you may have.     Incompetent. We did a home renovation with AJK. Poor oversight by Scott led to trades coming into our home and damaging floors, walls, etc. We paid for a furnace that was never installed. We paid for chimney caps that were not installed. We have multiple areas in our home that do not have insulation in the walls. Part of our attic is missing insulation. Our home has had multiple leaks due to poor waterproofing of our deck and roof. I strongly do not recommend this building group.
