    Build house

    Very disappointing.
    All the “ normal” and unfortunately typical problems with new construction. (6 months to complete project. turned to15 months.
    Builder budgets for flooring, carpet, tile counter, cabinets, lighting, appliances allowed for literally the cheapest options offered at Elite Flooring./ Seattle Lighting.
    (Both venders were required)
    Again these are apparently the normal problems contractors.
    We paid an additional $40,000 for very humble upgrades.

    The problem with AJC Construction specifically Owner Dennis Folk was/ is his standards for finish work.
    We hired Construction Dispute ( Mercer Island) who ultimately determined the following to be sub standard:
    —Interior paint unprofessional
    —Drywall splitting / separating at wall to ceiling join.
    —Tile grout cracking, Miss match grout colors
    —Engineered wood floors lifting.
    —Front door paint blistering

    Repairs are estimated to cost me $55,000.

    Dennis is NOT a builder, he does not have the experience to hire subcontractors, or the integrity to treat customers investment
