Where do I begin? A friend of a friend recommended Scott Wright last year (September 2021), so I decided to give him a call. I remember thinking how accommodating he was, as he came out the same day to take measurements and provide an estimate.
The Project
We were requesting the installation of hardwood laminate in multiple rooms and the stairway. Scott was very quick to offer us the opportunity to “pay him under the table”, stating it would be cheaper. Unfortunately for us, we took him up on this offer. Scott informed us we needed to pay for the materials up front, so we paid him the day after receiving his quote. At this time, Scott informed us it would only be a few weeks to complete the job.The Deception
We paid Scott on September 22 2021, and for 3 months he continued to find excuses as to why he could not do the work (waiting on materials, constantly out of town, fallen ill, this man was stuck on 95). Scott finally came to our home on December 9th 2021 and completed half of the job. He and two workers completed a bedroom, bathroom and closet. Scott asked for payment for the half of the job they completed, and he stated he would be back to complete the rest of the job “before January”. I told my husband not to pay him yet, but it was Christmas time so my husband obliged.The Theft
Scott never came back. It is now September 2022, and we can’t reach Scott. On August 18th 2022, I asked Scott for remaining materials we paid for. Scott finally responded after 3 messages, and he said he was out of town for a few weeks but would coordinate getting them to me when he returned. On September 8th 2022, I reached out again to no avail. Scott will no longer respond. Did Scott ever have the materials? I don’t know, probably not. Scott Wright stole from us and took advantage of our trust and patience. Scott cancelled on us too many times to count before completely ignoring all correspondence! Please do yourself a favor and look anywhere else for your flooring needs!

A local realtor, that my husband has known for many years recommended Scott Wright to us for hardwood flooring installation (April 2022). Scott gave us a quote and requested materials deposit. WE submitted payment and he scheduled our dates. After that it was one excuse after another, broken promises of refunding our money, etc. He is a thief! DO NOT HIRE ALAN SCOTT WRIGHT to do anything for you.
