I lost a few shingles in a windstorm a couple weeks ago and as a result I am getting water in my attic and have a stain on the ceiling of my third floor. I called Alan Landy Construction at 10:30 AM on a Monday and explained the situation and was very clear and detailed about the location of the missing shingles and the height and pitch of my roof. I was told it would be roughly $150.00 or maybe a little more to repair it and he would be here in 45 minutes. At 2 o'clock I called to confirm he was still planning on being here today and I got no answer and no call back. I tried again at 3 o'clock and got the same thing so I had a friend call from her phone immediately after I hung up and surprise, he answered. She said she was calling on my behalf and wanted to know when he expected to arrive. He told her he was in the area and would be here in 30 minutes. It is now 5:30 PM and he has not shown up or called. Don't waste your time on this loser and joke of professional. He is your classic shyster and if he shows up for you he is probably the guy that is gonna want paid up front and then disappear with your money. I googled him and his name is associated with an article in 2014 with 7 other PA contractors that the PA Attorney General took action against for unscrupulous business dealings. If you see this guy run, don't walk, in the other direction.
