We were given a quote, not told we needed a permit. We wanted to add a small triangle to the job so Nick came out to give a quote. Did not measure, said we need a permit and that the Muni would not give us one. I said we would try and he said it will be at least six weeks for the answer. We had the permit in hand in three days. Contacted him to again come out and give us the quote for the job, adding that extra triangle. He came out and told us it was going to be $3000.00 more. We reminded him we had a quote for the job already, without that small triangle and it was far less that he was quoting us now. He told us we did not have one because he did not give us one for it. My husband reminded him that we had a quote from his employee for the majority of the job already, that quote was under $5000.00. Now you are upping it almost $3000.00 for that small triangle? He said the job is the $7000+ period. Would not even honor the original quote, had us get the permit and now we are stuck with a permit that will expire before we can find another company to do the work because it is so late in the year. We were not on it as fast as we should of been because I was recovering from brain tumor surgery. That being said, they told us they could do the work this summer, no problem, then pulled this B.S. I would not use him now if he were the only business out there. People need to know they cannot trust them to honor their contracts.
