    Worst experience ever with a contractor. The owner agreed to a timeline and never completed the job. Then demanded full payment. He lied when he said he was licensed and bonded he was not. I would not recommend Matt Larson or Alaska concrete specialties. Save yourself the time and skip this contractor

    replace sidewalk, remove blacktop and prepare for resurfacing, repair concrete post supports

    I was not satisfied with this contractor. I contacted Alaskan Concrete Specialties about replacing a broken sidewalk at my 4-plex. I met with the owner Matt Larson at the site for an estimate. We discussed the work to be done and agreed on the price. I was told work would start immediately. Work did start the next day but from there on out it was sporadic and piecemeal.
    Communication was poor in letting me know times and dates for work to proceed which was frustrating because I was trying to keep the tenants informed.
    Finally the concrete was poured and the contractor was given final payment while I was out of state for a couple weeks. When I returned and went to check on the job I found a pile of gravel in the driveway, some of the concrete debris had not been removed and the holes along the sidewalk where the forms had been were not filled in.
    When I repeatedly called and texted to find out when the job would be finalized I finally got a call back and was told that he was not going to do anything more until next year and hung up on me.
    This is a job that should have taken about a week, not a month. This contractor was not good at scheduling his time or communicating and then he left the job unfinished.
    I can not recommend this company.
