We liked Dan, the estimator for A & S. Of the other 2 estimates for the total remodel of the hallway bathroom for my mother-in-law, A & S was the most practical and cheapest. Pretty much demolish the bathroom, including the interior privacy wall and making a 40" entry from mother-in-law's bedroom with a barn door. The job was completed within 4 weeks.
At my wife's insistence, I cannot give 5 stars, although I recognize how difficult this construction is. So... the transition strip between the bathroom and the adjoining bedroom was (I'm not kidding) butt ugly. Lulu said (expletives excluded) NO!
I agreed to sanding it down and refinishing it. That worked out well. Lullu loves it.
However, the paid-in-full invoice apparently did not include the $360 extra expense, although the charge was attached to the $9,000+ final invoice, which Lulu paid for her mother.
When apprised several days later that we (my mother-in-law) owed an additional $360, I was somewhat taken aback, but Lulu was really... well, ticked! I paid the $360 but I do not know when I might get another good meal from Lulu.
