Great experience, excellent work, fair prices. I've worked with many contractors and few hold their word and do the job the way it's supposed to be done. The craftsmanship is second to none and the windows/doors work flawlessly. Anyone who has tried to install a door should know that installing is easy but making sure it seals and closes/opens smoothly is the craft. No issues almost a year later. Very happy would highly recommend.

HANDYMAN QUALITY WORK which is an insult to handyman. Had this shoddy GUY Alex Barraco do 6 simply bedroom windows and a bay window (Approx. 50 linear ft.) 3 hours work and $750 later he was out the door. Window sills were suppose to be paint ready. He left the wood unsanded, gaps in the joints unfilled and had an 18 year old kid doing the tear out with a large hammer. As a result the old plaster came off which is going to take me longer than the job, to repair. He pushed furniture back to try & conceal the damage. Take a look at photos because this is the quality of his work not his website. Alex Barraco has 3 other corporations under him Alex Barraco Woodwork Corp, Alex Barraco Trim Corp, Alex Barraco Windows and Trim Corp. Website is www.windowsandtrim.com
Response from Alex Barraco Windows and Trim July 7, 2019Hi Charles, I am sorry you where unsatisfied with our interaction. We where very clear that I would be doing the carpentry work only, no sanding, caulk, patch or paint was included whatsoever. When I left I even suggested some caulking and patching techniques for you, to suggest we had a "paint ready" deal is disingenuous. It was fully disclosed and you where fully aware that absolutely no paint preparation had been performed at the time of my departure, as per our original deal. I totally understand how time consuming and meticulous paint prep can be, we try to specialize in carpentry only whenever possible for that reason, especially when we are busy, unfinished is not equal to "shoddy". I am sorry for the plaster damage however, if you remember the sills where specifically customized to accommodate a wood casing sill skirt, per your request. This Skirt will cover all the damage that you have below the sill. You should remember the only reason I did not include the supply and installation of the sill skirt casing is because you weren't sure what style you would use yet, you wanted to match the future Bahama shutters you where installing. We do tend to be fast relative to other carpenters, I feel that your main problem is that you think you paid too much for "3 hours work", most carpenters would have taken all day for the job, especially that 4 piece custom bay sill with the perfect vertices, you should share a picture of that. Regardless we had a price and a scope of work that was agreed and executed accordingly, time was not a parameter in our contract. All that being said the happiness of our customers is of the utmost importance and had you contacted me personally regarding these grievances I would definitely have done whatever possible to help you. Instead you embarked on a defamation campaign on spurious claims and demanded 350$ to cease and desist. We are not interested in responding to extortion. While 350$ is a small price to pay to make such a horrible review go away, we are going to have to stick with integrity and principle on this one. Thanks, Alex B

My windows are installed and I love them. No complaints. I am waiting for final inspection that's the reason I didn't rate 5 star. Hopefully i have no issues after inspection. Inspection done. Everything went well. I want to change my rating to 5 star but it won't let.
