  Rudy was called on Saturday, June 11, 2022, and he advised he was on the way to get our A/C working. On calling him back to determine where he was he advised he got hung up on a gas leak and did not get away in time. He did come at 9 am on Sunday, and replaced the cap which he said was the problem. The following Monday, after the unit kept going off and on we tried calling, once leaving a message with the answering serviceTuesday, Jume 21st we contacted a reputable service who found that the capacitor replaced by Rudy was twice as large as required by the A/C and they replace it with the correctly sized cap. The unit has worked perfectly since, Upon finally talking to Rudy he asked why we had not called him back. Of course, you now know why. He promised to return our money and we would give him back his cap. but we have neither heard nor seen him. I do not trust him nor think he is reliable as he stated. BE AWARE!!

  replace HVAC

  Don't ever use this unlicensed, uninsured con man - Rudy Brathwaite! He came to install a new HVAC unit for me. I had already paid him $1,000 prior to his arrrival. He showed up about 5 hours late then started working. He was using a blow torch to close to my sprinkler system setting it off. Not only did he flood my entire condo but 3 others were damaged in addition to the hallways. He did over $100k in damages and took off while the firefighers were there. He told me at the time he had insurance. Ha! I was out of my condo for 3 months while the entire place had to be gutted and all of my contents replaced. He of course would not take any of my calls and seemed to vanish.

  Find out why my heat was not blowing from a nearly 2 year old furnace.

  Furnace check.

  Rudy Brathwaite came over on Saturday, November 1, 2014 to repair a problem I had with my new furnace , installed by him in November of 2012. The heat was not blowing out in my home. When he went to the attic where furnace is he asked for a toothpick. He didn't go all the way up in attic as the furnace is quite near the attic opening. He was up there all of three minutes still standing on attic ladder. When he came down he said the cap to the outside extension was rusty and needed a new one (cap). He took me outside to show me that this is where the smoke comes out of the house when the weather is cold. I asked him how much this would cost and he said $75.00. Even though my "new" furnace has a 10 year warranty he said to give him $25.00 for gas. He said he would come over the following Saturday to install the cap that I needed. I wrote him a check for $100.00. We agreed that he would come by my home the following Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 2:00PM. I was to run some errands early that morning and that is why I chose 2:00PM. I had some calls and didn't leave the house until 11:30AM. When I pulled out of my driveway I noticed at bag hanging on my front door, but didn't pay it too much attention as my neighborhood does have solicitors leaving bags on our front door knobs. As I was out I phoned Rudy to tell him I may be a little late. He informed me that he had already come by my home and replaced the "cap" on my roof and left an extra one on my door. I told him I would call him in 20 minutes as I was in the grocery line and couldn't really hear. When I returned home I inspected the bag hanging on my door knob and there was a new "rain cap" in the bag. I called Rudy and told him that he did NOT do any type of work and he informed me that he was on top of my roof NAILING this cap down at about 10:00AM because he just happened to be in the area. I said "No, I was home and would have heard you on my roof." I told him to come and get the rain cap and give me the $75.00 back. He said he would come by my home later. He did not. I called him the next day, Sunday, November 9, 2014 and left a message telling him I would contact a lawyer. He then called me back stating that he does not take advantage of his customers and that he would bring me the $75.00 later that evening. I have heard absolutely NOTHING from this man. I have called during the week letting him know that the bag is still hanging on my door and to leave a money order in my mailbox. I have heard NOTHING. I do plan on calling Legal Shield tomorrow, November 17, 2014.
