  All Star Painting? NOT ON THIS PLANET!

  Terrible experience! I should have researched better. He was on a list of "trusted" contractors I got from my realtor. I got several different bids, and he, Mike Vinnage, was not the cheapest by any means, but claimed he could do all the things I need done. WRONG! He quoted me at the job taking 5-7 days, but has been here 3 weeks now with no end in sight. He's all over the place with VERY sloppy prep work. Every other day is spent doubling back and fixing all of the mistakes I point out from the previous day. Crooked trim installs, using the wrong sized trim to replace, trying reusing wood that he told me was rotten in different places, CRAZINESS! During the process thus far, aside from all the blatant shortcuts, he managed to wipe out my brand new doorbell, AND cut through my DirectTV wiring cutting off my television services for 3 days until they could come and fix it. He shows up at completely random times for a contractor as well, 9AM, 11AM, 1PM, not professional at all. I am now firing Mr. Vinnage and will have to pay someone else to fix all of his mistakes and finish the job. He is threatening to sue me now, but I have documented his mistakes in pictures every step of the way, so I encourage him to got ahead and try. Save yourself the headaches, All Star Painting is totally incompetent, LOOK ELSEWHERE!

  The painter did a very sloppy job. We would never recommend him to anyone. The contractor worked single handedly and we were not very impressed with the caulking job to start with. Then, after completing the job, we showed him several places where he had totally missed painting or applying even the first coat. All the spots were so obvious yet the painter/owner was ignoring it. He spray painted the windows while working, and the clean up job was so shabby that we have to spend money now to get the windows cleaned. Inspite of asking him to clean the windows better, he did not.

  Then he went ahead and put all the window screens, which are barely hanging in there and in fact 15 days after the job was done, one rain shower blew off the window screen. No one told us that a paint job means having extra expense on top of what you pay the contractor. Very bad work all in all by the contractor, who now refuses to answer our phone calls. If a contractor is confident about his job, he would not have to hide at all the way he has been hiding now.
