My family has given him years of business so we know him and his company very well. This year, 2014, we asked him a few questions on building a deck and the cost of materials. He asked for $2,000 for the materials and shopping labor. We decided to construct the deck ourselves and took the materials from him. Instead of refunding the $2,000 we paid him for labor and materials, Mr. Li refunded $800 and kept $1,200 for labor that he did not even do. I understand contracting is a very demanding job, but to scam your clients in this manner, is not acceptable. $1,200 for materials on a 100 sq.ft. deck of just pressure treated wood and gas to get it from Home Depot is not reasonable or what we had agreed upon.
He is now unresponsive to our phone calls and messages about the money he kept. This entire process has been extremely unprofessional and I do not recommend his services to anyone.
