By Nader G.December 8, 2021New Home Construction$350,000Response from Allen Loree Homes LLC December 19, 2024Thank you for your feedback. The Majority of your project was completed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, which posed unique challenges for the entire construction industry. Despite these difficulties, we worked to address site-specific issues, such as groundwater and soil conditions, and navigate city permitting delays caused by shutdowns and staffing limitations. We also worked to honor your custom requests, including design modifications and changes to the work sequence. While some issues, such as minor plumbing adjustments and framing variations, arose during construction, these were addressed promptly in line with our standard practices. The project timeline was longer than anticipated, which I deeply regret. However, some of the delays stemmed from external factors beyond our control, including supply chain disruptions and weather challenges. Even so, I take responsibility for the overall management of the project and strive to improve from every experience. Regarding the trades hired by you this was handled transparently and in accordance with our contract terms. As a sole proprietor, I am personally invested in every project, and I regret that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. I am glad we were able to reach a mutual agreement on our differences. Your feedback is appreciated and will guide future efforts to ensure smoother project delivery and client satisfaction.

By Marko F.March 31, 2019Build House$183,000
This company builds OK houses. Nothing special to write about. I own one that I purchased brand new. It has some defects, but no deal killers. The materials are adequate, the customer service in the ensuing years is disappointing. However, the price I paid was below market value & the house had the features that I wanted. Would I buy another house from Allen Loree Homes? Absolutely not. I'm a stickler for customer service and they do not deliver. My neighbors also bought from this builder their house suffered from plumbing leaks. The builder's warranty company must be going broke too since they changed their name to Centricity.
Response from Allen Loree Homes LLC April 1, 2019Thank You for your review. Our records show you purchased the home in 2012. I recall that you have inquired about the following an electrical issue with a GFCI that was referred to our electrician and resolved according to our records. The new refrigerator was repaired under the manufactures warranty. The Garage door opener was installed according to our agreement. These were taken care of in May 2012 just after you purchase the home. I did receive a voicemail on Friday March 29 2019 about some drywall and vinyl siding concerns. I apologize we have not yet contacted you. Please email use at [email protected] if we have missed something. We strive to assist all of our homeowners even 7 years later. With respect to our warranty company as I understand it they changed names to better reflect their business offerings, we have used them as a third party warranty underwriter for may years and have not heard of any complaints. If you are aware of something we would like to hear what you have to say. We do not show any work requests for your neighbor in our records. Their plumbing system would have been covered for 2 years under our warranty, and our company continues to support our clients well after that if we are aware of concerns.

Permits
- Building permit records show that Allen Loree Homes LLC has worked on 124 permitted projects.
My wife and I selected Allen after meeting with a few builders because he seemed able to build a non-spec house and wasn't scared off by brick, geothermal, or energy efficiency. What we didn't do properly was thoroughly check references of CURRENT builds. I should have run when he couldn’t make it through city permitting after almost a year without me stepping in. In fact, if I had to summarize our experience as a whole, I would say don’t hire Allen unless you’re prepared to repair poor work yourself and advocate on your behalf because he won’t.
The project was not estimated properly, material ordering was mismanaged, and Allen poorly managed his subs. As the previous review mentioned plumbing was awful – we found multiple leaks after hours that would have cost thousands in damage if we didn’t walk back through after everyone left, not to mention the damage to vent pipes, the lines were never flushed before fixtures were put on leading to clogs, sinks were installed and left with active leaks, and he lacked in competence all around.
Foundation and site work took months as opposed to days; so long in fact, neighbors and friends asked what was wrong. Framing of the whole house was done by 2 guys that didn’t show up repeatedly and Allen had no idea if and when they were working. Plumb, flush, and square? Forget about it. I hope you’re happy with shims, gaps, and framing with scrap boards.
We had to repeatedly find our own trades to keep the project moving and paid some of them out of pocket because Allen "didn’t have the money". What was supposed to take 6 months took almost a year – not because of weather or supplier delays, but poor project management by a stretched too thin one-man show. Allen is nice and answered the phone, but he is not the guy that will make sure things are done on time and done right. He won’t advocate for you, he won’t demand his subcontractors show up, he has no backup plan, and in the end, you and your home will suffer for it. Maybe he was good years ago, but now he values his professional relationships more than his customers.
