I waited months to write this review, hoping for an amicable resolution, but after no response, I feel obligated to warn everyone about this company's dishonesty.

We commissioned Mohammad Odeh of Allure General Contracting to build a walk-out basement for our house and to install a second sump-pump.

To sum up my issues with Mohammed Odeh, the manager of this company are as follows:

    1. He feigns moral equivalence and righteousness, mentioning God's name and the like but then is incredibly dishonest; testament to continually requesting entire payment despite outstanding issues after the work is done.

    2. Get everything from this company in WRITING as verbal assurances, as with any business, are not solid.

    3. Ruined Lawn which they promised to re-seed: He mentioned that the grass that would be torn up in the yard from his digger would be re-seeded and that he would provide the seed. His personnel did re-seed the lawn, but I ended up buying over $100 worth of seed which was not reimbursed.

    4. Oil-stained driveway: They arrived at our house in a Large Red Truck which leaks oil. And kept it parked there on days they were not coming, letting the truck continue to leak oil onto my driveway. He promised the oil stains would be taken care of by him, but after I asked him to clean it, he reacted quite harshly and said that it is my job. The power washing company that came to my house to clean the house said that washing out those stains would be $300 worth of work. I am still waiting for Mo Odeh to clean this.

    5. Sump Pump installation quality leads to flooding of basement: The water drainage pipe connected to the new Sump Pump has been installed directly BEHIND my air conditioning condenser and SPRAYS WATER right into it and right back into the foundation adjacent to the basement wall. When I mentioned this to him, Mohammed reacted that this was intentional and by design. This resulted in my basement partially flooding after a rain storm as the drained water had nowhere to siphon. I have gotten 2 opinions from other professionals and all were appalled by this. I have put a temporary snake pipe to divert the water, as he does not respond to ameliorate this woeful oversight.

    6. Quality of the walk-out: The work done for the walk-out was overall good. We do not have too many complaints about that. There is a crack above the dig that occurred during the building phase which they assured us that they would close with concrete, but have not. Additionally, the concrete sprayed all over our vinyl siding which they assured they would remove but have not. Our professional power washing service was unable to remove some of it.

    7. Unprofessional: a. Will ignore your calls for outstanding matters. b. When responding, he yells and blames his bad health for his delays and also says that this job is not important enough for him to do now, as he has more important jobs to do. c. Mohammed brought his dog to the work site once. He needs to leave his personal matters at home. d. Continuously complains about business colleagues, making libelous accusations against them and even goes so far to show the legal proceedings he is going through with them.

The effects on my property, the incredibly poor sump pump design, and his lack of follow-up for months on end leads me to unfortunately not recommend Mo and his company to anyone. I will also be reporting him to the better business bureau.
