    Bathroom remodelling
    $30,000

Adam M. failed his job as a "project manager" on all levels - Miscommunication, misinformation, and missed promise.

I regret spending $30,000 to hire Aloft due to the substandard quality of service provided by project manager Adam M. His consistent miscommunication, misinformation, and failure to meet promises have been unacceptable. If possible, I would leave zero-star feedback. I have informed my network of apartment community landlords about my experience and have documented evidence to support my claims, as detailed below:

    1. Meeting No-Show:
Adam missed the initial project kickoff meeting scheduled for 1:00 PM, which was intended to guide me through the project steps and expectations. He did not call, forcing me to contact him. He provided excuses for his absence.

    2. Misinformed and Delayed Material Order Placement:
The material order was significantly delayed by 20 days (6/22, 2025, vs. 7/12, 2025). Adam claimed the order was placed on 6/22, but Aloft's text confirmation stated it was placed on 7/12. I had to repeatedly follow up with Adam to obtain this information.

    3. Unprofessional Communication and Failure to Respond

    - 6/23, I requested a payment receipt. After no response by 6/25, I called Adam to obtain it (2-day delay).
    - 7/24, I politely asked if the project could be expedited. After 6 days with no response, I followed up on 7/30, still receiving no reply.
    - 8/21, I requested a project update. After no response by 8/26, I emailed again (6-day delay).
    - 8/26, Adam mentioned a "restocking fee" to change a fixture from chrome to brushed nickel, despite the salesperson confirming that Kohler stocked items could be changed without issue, as they were not custom products. The contract did not mention a restocking fee, leading me to question Adam's diligence.
    - 8/27, After I questioned the nonexistent restocking fee, all of a sudden, Adam claimed all materials were ready and installation would begin on "Tuesday" without specifying a date. After "4" emails, he confirmed 9/2, 2025.
    - 8/29, At 4:26pm on a Friday, Adam postponed the demolition/installation from 9/2 to 9/8 without my consent. This forced me to notify all tenants of the delay at the last minute, as the water supply would be temporarily shut off.
    - 8/29, I requested the demo/installer's name. Adam promised to provide it by 9/5 but failed to do so, requiring another follow-up email.
    - 9/8, Adam stated the team would arrive between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, but by 10:10 AM, no one had arrived, and he failed to keep me informed.

    4. Miscommunication: Dust Contamination
Adam failed to inform me that installers would cut materials in my yard, causing dust to spread everywhere. I had to urgently notify all my tenants tenants to close their windows and doors to prevent dust from entering their units.

    5. MISCOMMUNCATION: Missing shower door.
    - 9/10, Finally the 1st bathroom was done but there was no door. Adam never told/email me about the missing door and next step so I was again forced to email him. Again, unsurprisingly, still no respond until 9/15. He claimed he had a car accident was not able to still no respond. Amazingly, he as able to call installer on 9/10. Anyway, he explained the door was too big blah blah blah but rediculously, how is that my problem and he said that all materials were all ready on 8/27.
    - 9/23, 13 days passed. I did not have a shower door until 9/23. between 9/10 to 9/23, not a word from Adam keeping me update leaving me blind on the already delayed project.
    - 9/23, Right after the door is installed, he magically and proactively sent me invoice requesting me to pay the next day.
    - 9/10: The first bathroom was completed, but the shower door was missing. Adam did not inform me of this issue or the next steps. After emailing him and receiving no response until 9/15, he claimed a car accident prevented him from replying. However, he was able to call the installer on 9/10. He explained the door was too large, but this was not my responsibility, especially since he stated on 8/27 that all materials were ready.
    - 9/10-23, 2025: No shower door was installed until 9/23, and Adam provided no updates during this period, leaving me uninformed about the delayed project.
    - 9/23: Immediately after the door was installed, Adam proactively sent an invoice requesting payment the next day.

    6. Unethical Offer for a Discounted Review:
Aloft verbally offered me a discount in exchange for a five-star review, raising concerns about the authenticity of their Yelp reviews.

Here is where the fun starts, I anticipate that Aloft's some kind of top management may respond with vague promises to resolve the issue or claims of valuing customer feedback. However, after this experience, I should not be expected to initiate further contact.

Adam's performance has been unacceptable, reflecting poorly on Aloft and driving business to competitors. I strongly recommend his immediate termination to prevent further direct and indirect losses to your com
