I hired them in 2020 to put a cover on my new build pool. I had to leave town during covid to take care of an ill mother. They left the cover laying on my lawn for months and said that since I wasn’t in town that installing my cover was low priority. When they finally installed it, it had a tear and had to be reordered. Then two years later the cover isn’t opening. I call and they say it’s under warranty. They come out and explain that during Installation or when it was manufactured too much grease was put on the gears. Then I get a bill for $220. I called to ask about the warranty and they said yes, it was fixed for free but this is a “trip charge”. I asked why I’m paying anything for something that was defective from the beginning and they told me too bad, I have to pay it regardless. It’s pretty shady to not have explained the “trip charge” upfront, as well.
