I submitted a home warranty claim to have my hot water heater looked at. It was having spotty hot water and leaking all over the floor. I received notice that the company should contact me within 48 hours to schedule an appointment. After a week, they still had not contacted me.
I began calling the company and leaving messages (as no live person ever answered). Nobody called me back. I finally contacted the home warranty company local agent, who then made calls on my behalf. He said the company should be calling me that day or the next day to set up an appointment. By this time, our hot water heater had completely crapped out and we were out of hot water.
I received a phone call the next day to set up an appointment. They would not come until the next day, even after I explained that our hot water was completely gone. The plumber showed up when he was scheduled, took one look at the hot water heater and said it needed to be replaced. This was now on a Friday, 3+ days with no hot water. They said they had to get the warranty company to approve a new water heater and that it won't be replaced until next week.
Ok. I can understand that it takes time to get an approval through the warranty company. This is why I called on January 6th to submit a claim. It is now January 17th, and they're telling me they can't do anything until next week...?
I spoke with the owner of the plumbing company, and he was rude and blamed everything on the warranty company not paying him, so that's why they wouldn't fit me in. I asked why they wouldn't return my messages with any sort of explanation. He basically evaded my question and became defensive and blaming about the whole situation.
My experience with this company has been the worst plumbing company I've ever had to deal with, including using home warranty plumbing companies for years with different homes.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
